  1. My status changed to Application received on August 31st, then changed to Approved on Sept 6th, is issued next? I just hate the message it has under the status mentioning this "The consular officer has approved your application subject to final processing by the consular section that is necessary to issue your visa. When its complete the status will changed to issues. However, a final screening step must be completed prior to issuance that could lead a consular officer to conclude that you are not eligible for a visa." It also changed from Immigrant to Non-Immigrant which I think all are good signs for K-1, but I just can't relax since its been 10 weeks since interview with no DS-5535. Anyone knows how long it will take to "Issued" or anyone has been "approved" but didn't receive a visa? sorry for over thinking this. I just seen people change from "approved" to "issued" same day or within two days.
  2. I have the same status "approved' and same instructions since yesterday but unfortunately its still hasn't changed to issued. I am glad you got issued and hopefully ill get mine tomorrow
  3. OMG I pray you're right. I am trying to keep calm since I don't trust this process and the unpleasant surprises I have been getting from the first step lol but thank you for your encouraging words
  4. My K-1 Visa status changed to READY today. had a 221g on my interview on June 27 with no additional documents or information needed. Today completes 9 weeks and been refused for the whole time since the day of the interview with few updates. It still shows Immigrant VISA. Is this a good sign? I just don't want to get my hopes up and get disappointed. anyone has a similar situation with being refused for a while then changed to ready?
  5. Hello people, I have what it seems like a unique situation which I haven't found much about online. I had my interview for K-1 Fiancé Visa at the consulate in Montreal on June 27th. The officer at the end of the interview said she has couldn't approve me on the spot and will need more work, she then followed by it should take two weeks and she doesn't need any other documents and will contact me if they do she gave me a white 221G with additional processing marked and kept my passport. She never mentioned anything about DS5355 or any questionnaire and I never received a DS5535 or any other requests, I emailed them after 3 weeks to inquire and got a response a week later (July 27th) Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. This case is currently pending review by a consular officer. As soon as the review is complete, the Visa Unit will advise of the next steps if anything else is needed to complete processing the case. Also there has been updates at least 3 times including when they sent me the reply to my email. I am wondering is there still a chance I get a DS5535 if not am I looking at weeks or months? anyone ever received a 221g with no additional documents required or a DS5535 and how long does it take on average with no DS5535? Good luck to everyone
