  1. If it doesn't resolve within the next 24 hours I will send an inquiry to the NVC using their form and work on my other documents in the meantime. The application error went away just now and allows me to see the documents that have been uploaded/submitted. SUBMITTED: I-864 and Proof of US Citizenship UPLOADED: Proof of U.S. Domicile and Federal Income Tax Return.
  2. Thanks. We uploaded all of our joint sponsor's documents last night. However, after I logged in today it read "NOT SUBMITTED" beside his name (under AOS Documents & Financial Evidence) and when I choose the "NOT SUBMITTED" option it takes me to a page that says "Application Error" Please try back again later... Is this most likely going to resolve itself or is it something that I should consider inquiring about?
  3. When our Joint Sponsor tries to upload his Tax Return PDF it says that the maximum file size is 2MB. He has compressed the document and the lowest he can manage to make it is 2.5MB. There doesn't seem to be any way we can get this document to 2MB and I'm not sure what we should do. Any idea?
  4. Thanks. What is an acceptable document that my joint sponsor can provide to prove US Domicile?
  5. Our joint sponsor has completed his I-864. I am working on mine now. The section where it asks about the Sponsor's Household Size (Part 5) #1 I have put a (1) because that's the Principal Immigrant (my spouse) whom I am sponsoring. For #2 Yourself I have put a (1). Then #3 it says "If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse; BUT, if I put 1 there then add them up like it asks on #8 then my spouse would be counted twice (at the beginning of the section it says to not count any member of the household twice). Any idea on what I can do here? I hope this isn't a confusing question. I didn't know how else to word it.
  6. On the DS 260 Form when my spouse chooses that she has never applied for a Social Security Number it asks her "Do you want the Social Security Administration to issue a Social Security Number and a card?". We're not sure what she should put. If it is legitimate and if it is not a problem (it's something natural and normal for the process) that my spouse receive a social security card then we would agree to it. Is this something that we can put YES for without causing ourselves any problems?
  7. Thanks, I found the "Reciprocity and Civil Documents by Country" page. As for the USCIS Online Account number. When I (main sponsor) login, I login with my email address and then my name shows up on the home screen of the website upon logging in, so obviously this is my account. Does this mean that we should leave the USCIS Online Account number blank for the principal immigrant (my spouse)?
  8. Is there a particular type of police report that we have to provide?; is there a specific name for it? I was looking over the I-864 and I noticed I've put the USCIS Online Account number for my spouse (principal immigrant) and so has our joint sponsor. However, I believe this may actually be my account (Sponsor) since it mentions my name when I login. How can I know exactly for whom I/We should put this number? Because if I put it under the sponsor's (me) online account number then the joint sponsor won't be able to put any account number on his form.
  9. Do we have to first submit the I-864 and DS 260 before we can begin working on getting the civil documents, medical examinations, and police reports? Or can we be working on those simultaneously while we prepare our financial documents?
  10. This has been a very helpful answer for us. Will we be asked to provide an address for them to send the passport with the visa when it's time, or will they use the CURRENT address that we provide them on the I-864 or DS 260?? If so, I was thinking about attaching/uploading a letter stating that if any mail were to be sent in the process that it be sent to our joint sponsor's mailing address. The reason why I am so worried about this is because we've had a social security card, amongst other things, lost in transit on the way to our current address. Your answers are highly appreciated kind sir.
  11. I apologize. I am sorry for thinking and asking in this manner. Won't happen again.
  12. You are super helpful! As the main sponsor that "doesn't meet the requirements" I also wanted to ask if it would be okay for me to just state that I am "unemployed" rather than provide information about my current job that I plan to leave within the next few months. Reason being is we plan to move to the USA together and stay there. I have no long term commitments to the job that I am at now and the employer knows I plan to leave. How much of a difference does this make since I am not "meeting the requirements" either way?
  13. Is it okay if our joint sponsor submits 2022 Tax Return Transcripts and I submit 2021 Tax Return Transcripts? He will be provided his 2022 Transcript before me.
  14. I apologize for asking these very basic and seemingly unnecessary questions but my sponsor was asking me why his "household" would be considered 2 when he is single. When I first looked at the question it was quite simple: the 1 is already there for "Yourself" and then we add another 1 for Immigrant and then we total it (2) as the form states, but he sort of overthinks it. Sorry.
  15. Is there a due date for any of these documents such as the I-864 in the NVC process? My sponsor wants to wait until he receives his 2022 Tax Return Transcript, but I am not sure if this is going to be an issue.
  16. Thank you! For the I-864 Part 5 (Sponsor's Household Size) for #1 we will be putting (1) for the Principal Immigrant. The document already has a (1) generated for "Yourself" on #2. Then at the bottom it asks us to add together Items #1-#7. In our case here should we have for #8 a (2) for the Household Size?
  17. Is it okay if the joint sponsor provides only his most recent Tax Return Transcript (2022)?
  18. I appreciate that answer because I was very ready to put the USA address - but apparently that would've been a mistake, possibly a blunder.
  19. I will fill out my timeline this. We are at the NVC Stage. I recently paid my fees. I was referring to Part 2 (#2) of the I-864 Form. It asks for the Mailing Address of the Immigrant. I once had an issue with a social security card arriving at our current address; it never arrived. Therefore, I am hesitant to put our current address or have our joint sponsor put our current mailing address for Part 2 (#2) of the I-864 Form. Tomorrow I have a meeting with our joint sponsor and will have to provide him with all the details so I need to make a decision. We have an address in the USA and I was wondering if we can just put that address for my spouse (the Immigrant) ? Any thoughts?
  20. Will there be any "mail" coming to this address? I've had issues before with documents not being successfully delivered on time to our "Current" address.
  21. On Part 2 (Information about the Principal Immigrant) - Question #2 (a-i) asks abut the Principal Immigrant's "Mailing Address" . Should we write our current address (abroad) or the address that we will be moving to (USA)? I prefer to put the address we will be moving to in the USA, but I am not sure if it's going to be an issue if I do so.
  22. If they refuse our first and only joint sponsor will our case be reject/done or will they give us an opportunity to add another joint sponsor? I have two persons willing to be joint sponsors; one of them has a good paying job and pays his taxes every year and the other doesn't have a job but has good cash assets and pays his taxes every year.
