    My fiance was going to school and he got out because it wasn't worth it because I put the petition through. Well to make a long story short on the ds 156 it says work or school he does neither. Is there anyone with a similar situation. Is this going to be a problem when he goes for his visa. Also it says if you plan to go to school what school and if you plan to work where will you work. Obviously we don't have that info ahead of time. He does plan to go to school and to work but we don't know where. Anyone have any info i need help please thanks :help::help::help:

    I wasn't working when I filled out the DS-156. In those fields, I put "NONE" which I figured sounded nicer than "UNEMPLOYED". I had no problems at all. They really only care about the petitioner I think, in terms of employment and ability to provide support. Also, in the "what do you plan to do" field... I just put "Graphic design" (my general area of interest) and also that I planned to finish up my degree at university.

    Hi thanks for the info. I just am worried that they are going to say you don't work you don't go to school and say denied. so then i am going to tell him to put none and where it says if you plan to go to school and work to put yes but tell them that he doesn't know the location. Do you suggest this ???

    Hola Carina, inicie mi proceso el 16 de Julio de 2007.....me aprobaron (NOA2) el 05 de diciembre 2007....paquete 03 recibido el 08 de enero 2008........enviados a Bogota (COL) el 14 de enero 2008.......y cita para el 11 de marzo 2008.

    Scott & Yenifer, Big day tomorrow for you as well!!! The best to both of you and thank you for all your help!

    Sandy and I are waiting for Domesa and hoping to recieve the visa's for her and our baby by Thursday as our flight is schedulued for Friday. I am optimistic because we where approved last Friday, however Monday was holiday in USA and obseerved by the Embassy here in Bogota as well. I really do not want to reschedule ( and pay additional fee's) but will do so if we do not recieve by Thursday!

    hi quick question so I was looking at your timeline and it says that the 4th of december you received packet 3 and the 5th you had the appointment what did you do to receive an appointment right away. I sent my packet 3 last week. please right back thanks

    i-134 affidavit of support(must be notarized), last 3 years tax returns, bank statements, letter from employer, letter from bank and a whole plethora of #######. Search example forms and embassy info tabs,... or just search back a couple of pages in this forum.. its all here

    Hi david and AMber what is in packet 3? Can those forms be downloaded?

    Hello to all:

    I wanted some information on packet 3. What exactly comes in packet 3? I just a got approved for the I-129F and I called the National Visa Center and they told

    me that on the 8th of January they sent my case to Bogota aND they also gave me the BGT xxxxxxxx. I want download the documents and fax them then

    mail it to Bogota. My fiance doesn't speak English and the forms that I have are in English would that be ok to fax or should I get the spanish forms.

    Also I read on Mononoke28 the Guia para Visa K1 that in packet 3 comes carta de presentacion ( WHat exactly is this and where do I get it). Copia de la pagina de datos

    biograficos del pasaporte de la novia/o (WHat is this) and I have DS 230 part 1 and 2 and OF-169 Where can i get that.

    PLease I want to send this to my fiance on monday so that he can fax it to Bogota on Tuesday. PLease I need help this is so stressful. :help::help::help:

    Letter from Employer

    Hi guys!

    I'm trying to draft a letter from my "employer" which is basically the agency I work for. So far I have one sentence:

    "I am writing to confirm that X will be returning to work for Y following her holiday to the USA on Monday March 3rd 2008."

    It just seems a little... sparse...? Or is this really all I need with some headed paper?!

    An answer in the next five minutes so I can send the mail might be a bit hopeful but would be greatly appreciated if so!!!

    Do you have to be a full time employee because I am part-time because I was going to school full time and I just graduated but I do make above the 125% poverty level? Can someone please help me!!!!!!!!!!!

    I want to know if the packet of the I129f if I have to provide my fiance with a copy of everything or if he gets a copy in the packet 3 of 4 and also I sent original boarding passes in the I-129F another little problem I have is that I didn't make a copy of the whole packet. Is this going to be a problem. Should I just make a duplicate because I remember all the info

    I want info on official forms if they have to be translated to english even though the interview is in colombia ????

    Hello all,

    In August I sent the I-129F package and my case is still pending. I have only received the NOA1. Is it normal for it to take this long. Also my fiance has all his documents already like the birth certificate and the baptism certificate. Do these documents have to be translated to English???? When going to Bogota should he take a lot of pictures and emails and chats and phone bills pretty much all the evidence that we keep in touch and speak everyday?

    This process is very stressful especially because my case is still pending. please if someone has information onmy questions can you please write back. thank you :help::help::help::help::help:
