Question: Does your Social Security Card say: "Not Valid for Work without DHS Authorization" if it does when you get your Green Card you can go to the Social Security and have a replacement card with that notation removed. Here is a thread I found; hope it helps: Here

Ours is similar to yours; just a few days later. If you look at your VJ timeline it says we have a few more weeks to wait, and I expect to. Patience patience. We really need the EAD and AP now too but what can ya do but keep waiting and being patient.

well I honestly think that any day I will receive the card in the mail. I mean everyone else has gotten it in about 75 days average. hopefully we get it before the time it says on the timeline.

1. should I separate payment for biometrics and AOS processing fee? or just one check of $1,010?

2. and make it payable to U.S Department of Homeland Security right? is the U.S. should be shortened or it should be "United States", or does it matter?

3. Can I file for AP even if im not sure if I'll use it or not? Im planning to go to Phils. on Christmas or probably February, im not sure of the date yet, and there could be change of plans. And since we're paying a thousand dollars, might as well file.. Would if affect my pending AOS if there's an unused approved AP? Please let me know. My husband and I are filing soon, finally!

Hi how are you. I just have a question. I have a friend that is in the U.S as a tourist and he got married. He recently sent his papers out including the I-130 petition and the Aos, and EAD. He sent a check for $1365 1010 for the AOS and 355 for the petition. Is that what you did. Well his case was rejected because the amount of the check. Can you help me out with that. thanks

Hace un par de semanas mi novio y yo nos comprometimos y ahora nos estamos preparando para enviar la peticion I 129F, tengo entendido que cualquier documento que se entregue con esta peticion en espanol, debe traducirse al ingles, teniendo esto claro me gustaria preguntar si yo misma puedo realizar estas traducciones (yo soy profesora de Ingles y ademas vivi en USA dos anos con un J1 visa) asi que mi nivel de ingles es bastante bueno,o debe ser hecho por tereceros.

Pues yo cuando estaba haciendo la peticion para mi esposo tambien pregunte eso. El fue a Bogota en Marzo para la cita y yo estaba nerviosa porq eso el lo llevo en español pero estaba notarizado. Entonces en Colombia no lo necesitas pero es bueno tener una copia en ingles porq lo vas a necesitar cuando mandes los papeles para el ajusto de residencia. Pero eso no es caro a mi me cobraron $20 para traducirlo en ingles y pues ya eso lo mande y no me pidieron mas copias.

The EAD should arrive within 3-6 months which is the amount of time that most people have reported. It may take longer however as some other people, not many, but some have reported having to wait 1-2 years for it.

For your Timeline, go to My Assitant on top, then click on Edit/Add my Timeline.

picture & fingerprinting... The actual process takes but about 20 minutes... the thing you do not know is how long the line will be.
