Hello all,
I married my husband with a K-1 Visa. I was born in United States.
My questions are as follows:
Did anyone include a cover letter?
Has anyone paid with a credit card?
Part 13 - I have a bit of confusion:
It says Applicant's Statement Regarding Interpreter.
A. I can read and understand English, and I have read and understand every question and instruction on this application and my answer to every question.
B. The interpreter named in part 14 read to me every question .....
My confusion is the statement regarding interpreter. I checked off part A but just want to make sure.

I think speeding tickets should be included and I did include them on my application.
Others disagree. None of this will result in a denial... it's just what each of us thinks will lead to the fastest approval. If you have evidence, take it with you to the interview. If you don't have it but it's easy to get, then get it.
hmm that is tricky. It happened in another state. I actually recently destroyed those papers because didn't think it was important since he wasn't arrested. It was just speeding.

Also, I have to say... if there's nothing more to the story, then that hotel manager acted rather harshly... so did the cop, unless your husband was causing a disturbance... a simple warning should have sufficed!
Yeah I don't know why the hotel manager acted that way if he was paying. The actual citation says trespass first degree without authorization entered or remained on the premises of another so enclosed or secured as to demonstrate clearly an intent to keep intruders in a building of another.
Well I will mention it on the application and get a hold of the attorney because we paid the fee.
Do you think a speeding ticket should also be included? He also paid a fine on that.

Edit: What state did the "crime" (sarcasm intended) occur? I'll be sure to avoid after hour pool trespassing there.

Out of simple curiosity, what was reason on the citation? Example...trespassing? Threats? What?
The citation says Trespass First Degree.

My Husband was on a work trip and went in hotel pool after the pool was closed. The manager instead of telling him to get out called the police and he got a ticket to appear in court. Since it was in another state he didn't go to court but did get a lawyer and paid the fee so it can be dismissed. Should I mention this on the application. Has anyone ever had anything like this happen. He was only given a ticket he wasn't arrested. Should I send the citation together with his application.

They sent the RFE because your sister did not send her required I-864. Your sister needed to fill out her own I-864 and provide her supporting documents with it. Your mother filled out an I-864 and provided her supporting documents as the joint sponsor. They need an affidavit of support from the petitioner/primary sponsor first and foremost, and then also one from any joint sponsor you may need. No I-864A needed in that situation.

Can her husband supports himself? When I did my AOS, my wife is a USC and she cannot sponsor me either due to low income. But she filled out the i-864 and one section on the form, I put my income and attach with my employment letter. No need I-864A. The instruction of I-864 is very helpful. I would recommend take time read it.
Hi unfortunately he doesn't make that much income. My mother actually filled out 1st I-864 form. I didn't know my sister had to fill out I-864 even if she didn't meet income requirements.

What exactly was sent to begin with and what exactly does the RFE ask for?
The USC, your sister, needed to provide an I-864 regardless of her income. She is the primary sponsor even is she has no income. The joint sponsor would most likely have filled out their own separate I-864. An I-864A is used for a qualifying household member to combine their income with the income of the sponsor that filled out the I-864. How does the I-864A come into play in your sister's situation?
Need these questions answered for us to be able to help you properly.
Hi thanks for replying. Well my mother filled out the I-864 and my sister didn't. So you are saying that she only needs to send the I-864? I asked about the I -864a because I thought it needed to be filled out. The RFE only asks for her I-864.

Hello all,
I am helping my sister with the adjustment of status for her husband but she received an RFE
so the RFE says she needs to submit an I-864 even if she doesn't meet the income requirements. But what it doesn't say is that an I-864a is needed for income requirements. I feel that these people are trying to delay the process. So does she need someone to fill out the I-864a form??????Please help me so that her husband can get the resident card.

We were given 87 days to reply to RFE. We got a hard copy of RFE letter within two weeks of the email. Wait till you get the letter. It could be something very simple to provide. Good Luck

Sorry to hear the news about the RFE. The time frame for delivery of the hard copy is variable, due to factors such as government processing and mailing. If I knew that answer, I would next pick six luck number for the state lottery.
To GUESS what is the reason for the RFE before getting the hardcopy is pure SPECULATION, you should wait until you get the hard copy. The instructions that will come with the RFE should be followed EXACTLY, send back the evidence AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Hopefully it won't delay your immigration journey.Oh, I see that you are writing for your sister.....so her immigration journey.

Thanks for the message. Yeah hopefully it doesn't delay anymore since they sent out the package December 23rd, 2011. I will keep my fingers crossed for her.

Hi all,
My sister filed the I-485 form and today just got an RFE email. Not sure what it says yet since she hasn't received the hard copy but wanted to know what should she expect. Is there a timeframe to send the evidence. I don't understand why she would need it if they have a baby together. Could it be that they misplaced something. Please give me some information and how long does it take to receive the hard copy of RFE.

i understand your asking it for your sister she wants to know where to send the 1-129f, the address is on the 1-129f instructions page 5,in dallas tex, everything gets sorted there then it goes to other centers,like for your service area,

Just leave the address part off the Letter of intent. Or you can have them put VSC address on it if you want. She will likely be at VSC for the state of NJ. Tho if it is processing too slow she may get shifted to another center.

Hello I understand that they get sent to Texas but the example letters for fiance intent says service center and not sure what service center is for NJ
Should I just leave that blank????

First of all, all K1 Visa petitions get sent to Texas, as per the I-129F instructions.
Second, if you are married, as your signature suggests, a K1 Visa is not applicable to you.
sorry I didn't state before that I am helping my sister file her petition and she is not married.
As coco said you cant file a K-1 when you are married. Does not matter what service center because you cant send it.. well you can send it to Texas and they will take your money then deny you. Without a refund.
You need to file a CR-1 spousal visa because you are married.
Your timeline says you already filed a K-1 and finished removal of conditions.

My husband has his appointment January 18th, 2017 and was wondering about the documents he has to take like marriage certificate and my passport. Can anyone tell me if they took original marriage certificate or copy. Any tips about the interview? Thank you and congrats to all that passed and good luck to all interviews coming up.
