  1. I'm guessing they're consular processing so they'd have to go to a panel physician. If their panel docs are anything like India, they won't do anything without an interview letter. maybe contact the consulate or NVC and try to add the newborn on?
  2. I think it'll be fine if you follow the attorney's advice or you don't but it's your call. You can order your attorney to do it how you want it.
  3. If you have a joint sponsor, why does it matter if year 2 and 3 are below the poverty line? So, I'd follow your attorney's instructions.
  4. If you want to be really extra, y'all can do a single affidavit, signed by both of you. That way it'll also prove you met in the past 2 years. But, it seems like you have plenty of proof of that. But, just to advocate for the CR-1 more. Australia is part of Visa Waiver Program so y'all can easily visit each other in either USA or Australia during consular processing. Given that, I don't see any advantage to the K-1.
  5. Affidavits from both of you stating you will marry within 90 days of entering the USA. But, why not get married and do the CR-1 visa? Much better visa.
  6. Fill out your timeline. Did she arrive on CR-1 or adjust status? Either way, she should already have a myUSCIS account. If arrived on CR-1, she would've made it after her consulate interview when paying the ELIS fee. Also, for my wife and my bro's wife who both came on CR-1, the USCIS Online Account number was visible under the "Profile" section but then that entire section vanished. So unless you wrote it down, it's gone until you file another case. I wrote my wife's down. My brother didn't. So they had to leave it blank on the I-751. Either way, it's not a big deal. They will give you a number and instructions if you leave it blank.
  7. Maybe I'm in a blessed situation but what is the actual, practical issue with the processing time? We are with our loved ones and can work and travel. The only thing I can tell is having to carry the extension letter. Compared to consular processing for the CR-1, this is easy IMHO.
  8. I chose to file MFS when my spouse was abroad during consular processing. I consulted many tax attorneys and accountants and concluded the juice wasn't worth the squeeze to file MFJ (especially if a foreign spouse has a lot of income).
  9. Your service center does not depend on your state. It's based on their internal workload I think.
  10. Is it printed on special paper? Or, can one just print the receipt notice from myUSCIS and use that one?
  11. You can always apply for citizenship.
  12. I think all the lucky ones are at National Benefits Center, which is what I got. But, with that said, only a small minority of NBC actually get lucky so I don't have my hopes up. And, I think some of those are military.
  13. You can go to Immigration Timelines and sort by service center (also everyone should fill out their timelines because it helps us all)
  14. That's normal. That always happens. They never upload all of the parts on myUSCIS for some reason but the officer should get them all. You'll get the receipt notice in the documents section after a day or 2.
  15. Which service center did y'all get?
  16. Which service center did you get?
  17. At around midnight ET our NOA1 appeared on the myUSCIS portal. I didn't receive any email or anything.
  18. So are the receipt notice and extension letter two different things? or do they arrive together?
  19. Yea looks like I'll just have to wait for it. So far I just have the number from the myUSCIS online portal.
  20. But I think IOE goes to all of them and mine is IOE. I think all of them are IOE now.
  21. Is there a way to find out the Service Center with the receipt number or do we just have to wait for the I-797C Receipt Notice? Praying for the National Benefits Center 🙏🏼
  22. Well I just got an email from USCIS "We have taken an action on your case." Logged in and found the case added to myUSCIS account of the conditional resident and got the receipt number that way. G-1145 notice never came though. I don't think the G-1145 email option works anymore. I've never heard of anyone getting an email.
  23. Our I-751 was delivered on Weds., Dec. 11th. But, we still haven't gotten notification with receipt number. We only put an email on the G-1145 😬. Could that be a problem? I wish we had included a cell number.
  24. I have dual US & UK citizenship so does my brother (we got mine ours from birth). But, my brother's wife immigrated from Wales and she will be applying for US citizenship eventually and she will have both. If you have children in the future, you can only pass UK citizenship for one generation abroad. So any kids would have to return to the UK to pass it to any grandkids.
  25. My wife had a B1/B2 before we met. We did the CR-1 but she visited me during the process. I actually think it's better since you don't have to adjust, it's cheaper, maintain ability to travel and get work authorization right away. And you can still stay up to 6 months together in the US at a time.
