    Hey that’s interesting that your embassy can contact NVC and at least give you updates, better than waiting for public inquiry response or NVC themselves. NVC website states they’re working on cases received from uscis around May 16 (but that date should be updated Mon/Tues) and I believe I read somewhere that it takes 2-3 weeks after NOA2 for NVC to receive paper petitions, so you should hopefully have some good news in the next week or two. Please update when you hear anything from your embassy as it may help form some sort of timeline for us! I’m 18 May so two weeks behind you.

    I understand the process, but I’m K1. I’ve heard from many K1 members they don’t receive their NVC case number until NVC has already sent their case to their embassy, which I’m trying to avoid. Most K1s call NVC to get their case number early, something I can’t do now that NVC has suspended their phone lines. Their emails are backlogged as well by at least 2 months. I’m trying to request the transfer while my case is still at NVC, but all these roadblocks are making it difficult. So my question is, is the NVC case number absolutely necessary when contacting the embassy, or can I give them my receipt number and they can find my case at NVC using that? Thanks in advance

    I got my NOA2 on May 18. No NVC case number yet obviously. I am aware we have to email the embassy we intend to transfer to, however are we able to do that with no case number? Just the uscis receipt number? NVC shut down their phone line and they probably won’t email our case number until it’s already sent to our old embassy and that’s too late. I’m stressed

    I'm looking to transfer my embassy while my case is still at NVC, it'll be too late for me if it's already sent to the embassy. So people like myself can't afford to wait for it to be sent to the embassy... should I send an email now and hope that in 8 weeks time from now they'll be able to tell me my case #? I think its insane that they can just say they're not taking calls at ALL.

    APPROVED TODAY!!!!! NOA1 April 21, NOA2 May 19, got the notification via casetracker app close to 9am. 77000 group, no RFE. It took me over 390 days (I think 393 to be exact) but I'm thankful it didn't take me 400+ days like some of us. Though I am overjoyed for myself I know how hard it is to read of another approval and it not be yours, but have faith, it will come!!!!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!!!!!! I am soooooo happy right now! Updating my timeline now. A big shoutout to this group, without it I wouldn't even be able to stay sane this whole time!!! Thank you to the users who take the time every single day to write out the daily updates!!!!!!!!
