    Update: we had gotten a second approval notice dated Aug 30 which was confusing me, but I guess that triggered things because we finally got our card about a week and a half later on Sept 9. Now to take a much needed long break from USCIS! I wish you all the best of luck.

    Update: By 2:30pm yesterday his case status was approved!!!!!!! I can't believe it. No interview, 2 RFEs (1 for medical, 1 for marriage certificate/USC spouse birth certificate, even tho I sent both of them in with the original application) I'm so so happy! Hoping the card comes in the mail quick so we can take a 2 year long break from USCIS

    My husband got an email around 4am this morning saying there has been an action taken on the case, but when we log in there's nothing new (yes, I check the docs tab). The only "new" thing would be that the date for our rfe response received changed from Aug 6 (when we actually submitted online) to yesterday afternoon, Aug 17. So I called USCIS and spoke to someone and she said the action taken on our case is the card being sent to production!!! I'm so hesitant to celebrate but why else would she say that if it wasn't true?! I hope online updates soon. Status still shows no changes as of now.

    Maybe so as to avoid confusion just mail all evidences at once with both rfe letters on top.

    We decided to do the medical exam. I don't think there's much I can do in terms of fighting the RFE, potentially losing green card isn't worth it. We got the courtesy email a while back but didn't consider submitting 693 until we got the actual RFE. He got a couple more vaccines that weren't on the DS-3025 (like varicella, tdap, 3rd hep) so maybe that's why the DS-3025 alone wasn't sufficient?

    Hey guys! I just got an RFE for form I-693 despite including the properly completed DS-3025 in my initial packet (yes, I saw it in the scans in my account too!) But, I guess it wasn't enough? To those who got an RFE for the same thing, what did you do? Complete another exam here or resubmit the DS-3025? I'm so tight on money I wish I can avoid the pointless repeat exam but don't want to risk the green card application of course. Thanks

    Hi all. Update: got an RFIE for the I-693 even though we're adjusting from K-1 and I included the DS-3025 in the original packet. Don't know what to do now! Should I do the exam all over again or resubmit the DS-3025?

    Don't assume that. You can ask emma I think. But nothing in our portal changed, however the field office sent us a courtesy email letting us know our case is with them and to send in more proofs if we want. From what I know an email from the field office does not happen every time, so if you are lucky the field office will email, otherwise try emma. Our case number starts with IOE

    Hi! So sorry for the late reply. I'm not going to send anything in because our AOS is from K-1 so no need for 693. Also, I submitted pretty much all the marital status proof I could with the original application. I guess if I have anything significant and new (like a kid or something) I'll send it in but otherwise no.

    Also, my husband got an email yesterday from the field office nearest us. It was a courtesy email saying our case has already been transferred and to submit the 693 and substantial proof of marriage if we want. Hoping that's a good sign that things are moving with our green card case!

    When was your approval date? My husband was approved 3/9 for work permit but we have yet to see any status change from that day or a card in the mail. Getting a little worried here. If you checked in the application that you want a social security card, it should come from what I know. But if you checked no, it won't come and you'll have to apply at the SS office near you. That should be all he needs to work.

    Ughh mine has been sitting at "card is being produced" since March 9 and I don't know what the hold up is... I'm so thankful it's been approved so quickly but I have trust issues with USCIS...I sometimes get scared that the card will just never show.. you never know with them

    What!? The instructions literally say the exam is valid for one year... did you submit the DS-3025 proof of vaccines from the exam?

    Mine as well has been "being produced" since 3/9 so only 4 days. Some people on reddit are saying they haven't been getting their green cards since late Feb so not sure if they're backed up for ead too? Either way please update if there's anything new and I will do the same...

    Woke up this morning 6am Cali time to three emails in the middle of the night and an approved EAD! Status shows card being produced. thank you God!!

    Had our biometrics today at 2pm. It's now 8pm PST and no EAD approval, I knew it would be like this but sucks either way. We aren't one of the lucky ones to get EAD approved right away hope the wait won't be too bad

    It's only "IF REQUIRED" so yes, you might be overthinking it lol. Better to be safe than sorry tho so good ask. The only thing required is the DS-3025 for K-1. You shouldn't do 693 unless they ask.

    3 petitions sent: 2/9 Fedex shows delivered: 2/14 Texts received with case numbers: 2/16 showing receive date as 2/14 We paid with personal check and the money still hasn't left our account lol. Hopefully we get our account notice in the mail soon

    Thank you so much for giving me the suggestion! Yes I am planning to include both of those as well, I wasn't sure if I should put the whole passport or just those pages. But now I decided to just put the bio page/visa and stamp page.

    Hey! Question... we are about to file our AOS. Should we submit the beneficiary entire passport? Or just the biographical page and visa/stamp page? Trying to save on paper

    Finally got our interview date booked! Does anyone know if tax transcripts will suffice for interview? I don't want to send my fiancé the entire tax return packet as that's a lot of printing...wondering if tax transcript has everything the officer needs or if I should send specific W2 as well. Just want to make 100% sure so we don't have any delays! Thanks

    Finally received the coveted "in transit" email from NVC yesterday. NOA2 was 5/18 so it took quite a while. Looking forward to the next steps and to finally being done with all this!
