  1. Both of my wife's parents are retired. They do have property in China (an an additional rental property in another city). My wife's grandparents are in the same city too, which her parents help out with. Neither parent speaks English and do not want to be in the US more than 3 months. Her parents have super strong ties to China. I'm thinking if her mother just applies and not the father, then that shows even more ties to China since she will obviously return?
  2. Hello everyone, Haven't posted here in years! LONG story short my wife is pregnant with our first child. My wife is a green card holder, we went through the Finance visa process a few years ago. We both live and work in the US together, but we're trying to get a tourist visa for her parents (Both are in China, in like a Tier 5 city). We had them both go to Beijing to apply for the tourist visa about 8 months ago but they were both denied. My wife was understandably annoyed because we paid a lot of money just to have them both be rejected. Well now that we are pregnant, my wife obviously would like some extra family support. We were thinking of having just her mother apply for the visa this time, but are there any "tricks" or ways to improve them chances of approval? The amount of times of rejection seems limitless. We only want the parents to get tourist visas so they can visit every year for a couple of months to bond and help out. Thanks for any input!
  3. Hey everyone, Let me start off by saying I think I'm ok and I don't need to take any actions, but I just wanted to double check if I need to change my visa. So I'm going to China in the summer with my wife to visit her parents for a week. I got a 10 year tourist visa (L-visa) in 2020 right before the pandemic, it doesn't expire until 2030. My question is, will China still accept this visa, or has things changed since COVID happened? Also, is it ok to just use my tourist visa, or do I need to apply for a spouse visa since I'm now legally married to my wife in the US? Also, I don't think it matters but in my passport photo I had hair and now I shave my head....will China be suspicious of this? Thanks for any input!
