  1. Congratulations!!!! Could you please share your timeline? Did you get the approval today?
  2. I’ve heard about another approval for a hardship waiver last week. I-612 received by DOS in June 2021.
  3. Just heard about a hardship case that got approved on 9/15. DOS received I-612/613 on 6/21/21. Hopefully we start seeing more of that!
  4. ✋🏼Hardship:Pending:Form I-612:Received:November, 11 2021.
  5. Not sure if it’s something on my end, but I couldn’t see the screenshot you posted. Could you please tell what’s in it? Thank you
  6. Now it’s back to normal. I’m curious to know if anybody saw any update?
  7. You’re right! I don’t want to read much into it, but I really hope that it means some good news for us (somehow)..
  8. I agree, that’s why I said “I’m aware of”, but there could be approvals we never hear about. Review old posts.
  9. I haven’t. Last approved case I’m aware of was back in April!
  10. I think it is permissible, because I was able to renew my DS-2019 while waiver is pending. However, keep in mind that you won’t be able to renew DS-2019 as soon as waiver gets approved. So, once approved, you have till the end of the academic year, then you need to switch to H1 or GC, of whatever options available for you.. may I ask how long your waiver has been pending? And when did DOS receive your I-612/613 forms?
  11. They start counting from the day they receive I-612/613. Whatever happens before that doesn’t matter in terms of processing time.
  12. I hate to bring bad news but the hardship processing time just got updated “officially”. it used to be 4-6 months, now it’s 9-12!
  13. Sent to USCIS early 6/21 I-612/613 sent to DOS mid 8/21 I-612/613 updated on DOS website mid 11/21. Nothing since then. Tried multiple congressional inquiries with no luck so far. I have till 9/30 to adjust to GC, after that H1b Is my only option I guess..
  14. I submitted 2 congressional inquiries (weeks apart). The 1st one was instantly denied. For the 2nd one, I received a different response that included sentences like “they’re working to process my application” and “we assure you that this request will be processed as soon as possible”. Should I hang any hopes on that? Again, my story is that I have only till 9/30 to do AOS because it’s a DV based GC. Thank you
  15. may I know what kind of circumstances may factor in? also, is it possible to submit the AOS application while waiting for the letter? Or do we need to have it in hand first? Thank you
  16. Any idea how long does it typically take between favorable recommendation on DOS website and receiving the official waiver approval letter from USCIS by mail? (my waiver is still pending but I’m trying to know what to expect in regards to the processing time after approval).
