Hi everyone! My fiancé had her interview at the Tokyo embassy on 4/1. At the end, they kept her passport and said they just needed some more time to process her documents and will contact her again soon, and also handed her a 221(g) refusal statement for administrative processing. I've heard this is a normal part of the process post-interview, but we were rather anxious about the "Refused" status in CEAC. However, we just saw that change to "Ready"....I've been told that this is a good sign, especially since they kept her passport. Could we expect to see "Issued" soon?

We just received our NOA2 last week (the mailed notice states 1/11 as the issue date).
- How long should we wait before contacting the NVC for our case number?
- I'm also considering getting a head start on the affidavit of support (I-134, employment letter, letter from bank, etc.) documents, as I've seem some suggestions to start doing so, but how long are those valid ahead of the interview?
- Lastly, I'm planning to move to a different state in March. Wondering how that might impact the next phases?
Thank you for hearing me out! Wishing everyone some positive progress this week.

I think this is the best progress we've ever seen for March this morning! I checked only a few groups, but 600x has 12 approvals (not RFEs), 605 has 4 approvals, 610x had 1, 590x had 5, etc. Hopefully we'll continue to see more rolling in throughout the day - and movement to mid-March in the coming week!
March 8th NOA1... and after over 10 months, 310 days.... we got APPROVED today (January 12th - NOA2)! 😭 Don't stop believing!

I just updated the chart. Case tracker showed 16 approvals and 8 RFEs today in the March chart. All falling in ranges 57500-61000 which mostly corresponds with March 1-9.
Thanks for the update! Hoping for an exciting week ahead.

Any approvals or notable observations out of California today? Tomorrow marks 10 months of waiting... 😢

3rd January 2020 was last time I saw my fiance.
And since i work and live in China, i wont be able to se her untill we get approved, since china requires 3 Week quarantine when entering the country from abroad (I have 22 days of vacation per year, she has 25 days in US), so it makes visits impossible, since we would literally see each other 1-2 days and i would have to go back to China immediately, and since i am not Chinese Citizen i would have to pray that i don't have any issues when entering back to China (many colleges had issues).
And uscis wait times are getting worse and worse. We will probably see each other in second half of 2022, since processing is grounded to halt
Man, I feel your frustration here big time. Last time my fiancé and I saw each other was May 2020. She's in Japan, and Japan has since had its borders closed to Americans, making it impossible for me to visit her. Quarantine requirements also make it impossible for her to have enough vacation time to visit here. With new variants continuing to delay Japan's reopening, we are on the edge of our seat for that NOA2 being our only renewal of hope at this point. It's been so so long.

Do not worry! Your cases are being actively considered this week, even if it is only a few here and there. There's been a very clear holiday slowdown, January will be a happy month for us, God willing.
That's encouraging - thank you! I suppose then, at least we can confidently say 2022 is gonna be our year!

March 8th here....desperately holding on. 🥺

March 8th here. 269 days and still counting. Just waiting. And waiting... 😔

Has anyone with an early March NOA-1 heard anything yet? Mine is March 8th, and I just received the following response after submitting an inquiry earlier this month.
Thank you for your inquiry. We recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending application/petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. We regret we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will review your case but the California Service Center is committed to processing this workload. We will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in the most efficient manner based on our available resources. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
I've seen similar responses to other inquiries submitted, which seems to suggest a delay for sure. That said, I was curious about the member data being pulled on this Visa Journey page: https://www.visajourney.com/times/
At the time of this post, the "Current Processing Times" are stating that the California service center is processing I-129F for K-1 Visa with NOA-1 date of March 7th...is this data or estimate being sourced from a petition that was approved? I would love to hear if indeed they are working through early March. Any approvals out there? If this data is accurate, that would suggest we are close, right? We are praying our approval could be soon!
K1 Visa Interview - "Refused", 221(g) for Admin. Processing, then "Ready"?

Gotcha. It was very generic. They didn't request any documents in the form they gave her, just highlighted "administrative processing" under 221(g).
