  1. How long does it take to get a new Social Security Card after applying for a new one?
  2. I got an interview schedule as well. I hope it doesn’t get canceled as well lol
  3. I just called USCIS not too long ago, I requested to talk to a Tier-2 officer, the info specialist blatantly said “No” she can’t connect me. This is so frustrating!
  4. Has anyone received an update yet regarding their descheduled N-400 application especially from Chicago Field Office? @rohsha any updates yet? I just read that if a N-400 interview was descheduled by USCIS and haven’t been rescheduled after 30 days, you can call USCIS to inquire about it.
  5. No updates yet, I’m still waiting - it’s almost two months since the interview was cancelled. @rohsha I was going to contact you to confirm if they’ve responded to you since you went to the field office on that day. Also did they get back to you regarding the FOIA?
  6. Wow! What does FOIA mean and when could one do that? I mean what situation could one attempt the FOIA? Also, if you have to apply for FOIA, which of these options best describe your case
  7. I believe they are probably understaffed. I hope they reschedule the interview soon.
  8. Yes, they cancelled almost every N-400 interview scheduled for March on February 7th at Chicago Field office. I still don’t know the reason why. They have not rescheduled the interview yet.
  9. It is very straight forward I believe. Since you hold a 10-year green card, you are a Legal Permanent Resident and you don’t have no conditions attached to your green card. All you have to do is file form I-90.
  10. Sorry to bother you all. Just following up on this post again! Has anyone received any updates yet regarding interview rescheduling? I learned that it typically takes 30 days to get rescheduled for an interview after being descheduled (varies with Service center). Anyone with viable information regarding how long it takes Chicago Field Center to reschedule a descheduled interview?
  11. I was never scheduled for biometrics. I only got a notification that “Biometrics was reused”.
  12. As anyone received any updates on “Descheduled Interviews” for N-400 (Naturalization) yet?
  13. My I-751 is approved as well and from Nebraska. I believe Nebraska is moving now for July 2021 filers. I filed my I-751 July 15th, 2021. N-400 hasn’t been rescheduled yet after being previously cancelled.
  14. My Naturalization interview scheduled for next month was just canceled today. What could have been the reason? This is the letter I got. Please any advise would be appreciated.
  15. That’s progress right there. Was your N-400 processed at NBC before being transferred to your local office? Did you receive a notification stating that?
  16. They are probably reviewing the case again, you should be getting some favorable response soon.
  17. Just following up on this to inquire if you’ve been able to open a claim or got a favorable response from USCIS yet.
  18. Ok. Thanks for the information. Congratulations again!
  19. Congratulations on this one, this is really great. Quick questions: 1. What was the RFE about? 2. What was your I-751 Service Center?
  20. You’re right You may file Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, 90 calendar days before you complete your permanent residence requirement if your eligibility for naturalization is based upon being a: Permanent resident for at least 5 years; or Permanent resident for at least 3 years if you are married to a US citizen. To determine your 90-day early filing date, begin by identifying your 5-year or 3-year date as a permanent resident. For example, if the date on your Permanent Resident Card says “July 4, 2013,” you meet the 5-year permanent resident requirement on July 4, 2018. If you have met all other eligibility requirements, the earliest date you may apply for naturalization would be April 5, 2018, which is 90 days before July 4, 2018. You may use the USCIS Early Filing Calculator to ensure you file your Form N-400 within the 90-day window. We will deny your form if you file more than 90 days before your anniversary date. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator
