  1. Hi all, I came running to the computer when I saw the recommendation to file a FOIA. 1. I found my old VisaJourney timeline and account access. It looks like I filed to Vermont Service Center. Skimming through our older posts is emotional to me, but life goes on and God's promises are good. So, should I put Vermont Service Center for Q1? Would I still need FOIA? https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=84433 2. I was living in Austin, Texas through 2015. 4. No. White is good. Thank you for your answer!
  2. Thank you Family!! and everyone else! 🧡 I am filling out the I90 form online, and I am confused by some of the questions: 1.Where did you apply for your immigrant visa or adjustment of status? Provide the location of the U.S. Embassy, U.S. Consulate, or USCIS office where you applied for your immigrant visa or submitted your application for permanent resident status. - What immigrant visa? I came on a K1 visa on 10/2010 from Peru. I've been a resident since 03/2011. 2. Where was your immigrant visa or adjustment of status granted? Provide the location of the U.S. Embassy, U.S. Consulate, or USCIS office that issued your immigrant visa or permanent resident status. - I can't remember which center I filed to. My POE in 2010 was Miami International Airport, headed to Austin, Texas. 3. Did you enter the United States with an immigrant visa? Immigrant visas are processed and issued by the U.S. Consulate in a foreign country. If you received your Green Card by applying for permanent resident status after you entered the United States, then you did not enter with an immigrant visa. - I selected NO. Correct me if I am wrong. 4. What is your race? Select all that apply. Your race is different from your ethnicity and should reflect your geographical origins. White, Asian, Black or African American American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander. - This question slowly kills me. I am Peruvian, and for ethnicity (previous question) I selected Latino. Can I leave this question or any of these questions in blank?
  3. Good Morning, Thank you so much for your feedback. Someone said 5 years of GMC is reviewed. Since my wet reckless case was processed in April 2018. Would it benefit me to file an I90 form on May 2013? Does it matter? Renewing my GC, here not applying for naturalization.
  4. Thank you for merging the topics. I am a resident since 03/2011. My GC expires in 07/2023 (I misread the card the first time around). I am close to a year at the transformation center - still in probation, but had completed court mandated DUI education and made arrangements for penalties owed. When filing for I-90 renewal, when is a good time to add letters from my community and church? I am not employed but I am an active member at the church I go to. Thank you!
  5. Hi everyone, I moved to the States in 2010 under a fiancee visa. We got married and I obtained a green card for 10 years. We divorced in 2019 and I am in need to renew my green card. It expires in July this year. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Do I need to remove conditions before re-applying? It is been so long the process is absolutely foreign to me now. Thank you in advance
  6. Are there guides here in Visajourney website?? Can someone please post the link? I haven't used this website in 10+years. everything is changed
  7. I've been in the states for 10+ years. My green card is expiring and I need to re-apply for another green renewal. What's removal of conditions? Please useful info only other than correcting grammar / terminology. I am lost.
  8. Hello, Can someone point me to the timeline to process a green card renewal? As well as steps, which office should I file to? and fees? My green card expires in March 2022. When can I start filing? Thank you so much!
  9. Thank you Family! I am on the fence. I was told by two immigration attorneys that travel during probation is a NO. Officers at the border have the power to revoke green cards if they see fit. Any other members willing to chime in please? I appreciate you in advance, A
  10. I am okay with not applying for naturalization at this time. Even when I only had a wet reckless I was advised not to apply for naturalization. Yes. I had an attorney that represented me against the DUI case. If I am applying for a GC renewal I-90, should I still look into post conviction relief and what it entails? I was advised to not travel during probation as well. Please let me know,
  11. Hello members, I live in California and my wet reckless conviction happened in Contra Costa county. My parents and brother live in Peru. They have visas but I am not financially stable enough for them to come visit. Is my wet reckless accounted as a DUI? Should I be seeking immigration legal guidance? What are your thoughts on using the resources listed on this website? https://www.calbar.ca.gov/Portals/0/documents/legalServiceProviders/Sacramento-County-Legal-Services.pdf Thank you again, your feedback helps! - Allie
  12. Hi folks, I am grateful for each of your responses. And thank you kindly to the links to file I-90 steps and GMC. Yes, my wet reckless had alcohol involved (my BAC was under the limit and no probation period was imposed) Would you still recommend to file on May 2023? - Today, I have not completed all of the sentencing terms. Unable to see my family, I am in probation for three years after sentencing. However, I am taking DUI classes and paying my court fees. I joined a transformation center exactly two months ago. It is a faith based two-year program so I've been sober and working on myself since then. I see online that I should be applying to renew my GC six months before expiration. I was wondering if folks had any other insights as well as timelines. I haven't been in this website for ten years so I am little rusty. I appreciate your help in advance, Allie
  13. Hello, I am not sure if I am in the correct forum, and I am in need of some answers. I came to the US on 2010. Obtained my first conditional green card through 2013 and renewed through 2023. MY green card will be expiring on 2023. The last couple of years have been hard for me and got convicted of a DUI (1st offense) on 12/6/21 and a wet reckless in April 2018. I was wondering what steps should I follow. I previously spoke with immigration attorneys who declined to represent me for the naturalization process. Also, I was wondering if I could be pointed to timelines for green card renewals. I appreciate your feedback in advance, A.
