Last week, I ended up sending an email to USCIS Ombudsman's Office with the form they provided on their site. Was super surprised when we were told by NVC that they received our case the very next day! Very unexpected turn of events! We were finally able to receive our case number this week!! I hope everyone's processing is going well

Oh boy... can you get in touch with a senator of your state or anything like this? That seems super odd..
I am currently going through the K1 process with a lawyer and my lawyer is not saying much. She tells me it is best to stay put and that she has also been sending inquiries but I have no idea... This whole thing is just super odd, indeed 😬

Do you know if South Korea is processing K1's currently? It feels like they're keeping stacks of cases from embassies that aren't open still... Could this be the case?
Also, four weeks since Madrid embassy has received our case and still heard NOTHING from them.. Argh... I feel for anyone who is anxious for things to MOVE in their cases!!
I also thought that would be a pausible reason but NVC states they have not received my petition and have nothing on record.. which I believe is something to do with USCIS and NVC. I am aware that NVC holds onto cases if embassies are not ready to receive them. NVC has nothing to hold onto in my case cause they just do not have my case :( Also, South Korea seems to be processing K1s normally too.
And 4 weeks?? Wow.. I expected things to actually move once the case was received at the directed embassy. I totally get how you feel! I hope your case also moves along at a faster pace!!!

Thank you so much for linking me! Now, I have more information to review over. All of these would have been so difficult for me to find on my own. THANK YOU!!

Oh wow, so sorry to hear that
That seems a little strange since they don't have anything on file yet, maybe it just hasn't made it there yet? I did have a friend who's going through the same process and it took about 2-3 months for him to hear something from the NVC.
Yeah, that is why I have also been thinking this whole thing is pretty strange. One NVC representative even told me in one of my previous calls that our petition should have arrived by now. Hearing that got me even more anxious. But thank you for your input! I hope your case gets sent to the embassy quickly to make up for all the extra time it took

Hey, everyone!
We received our NOA2 this year (notice date: May 6 | approval date on USCIS site: May 7) and we still have not received a case number, and no further processing has been made since then.
My fiance and I have been contacting NVC at least twice every week now, since it is over the 60 day period. NVC requested to send a scanned copy of our approval notice to their NVC Research email. It has been already two weeks since they sent a reply saying they will try contacting USCIS to locate our petition. Called yesterday morning to be told the same thing they tell me every time, "We have not received your petition yet. There is nothing on file." NOTHING on file with our receipt number?? Even after all this time?
I even tried contacting USCIS through live chat several times (tried calling and was led to an automatic reply system every time) and was told to wait for NVC to receive the petition. They would not even confirm for me if my petition was sent for certain. "The case has been approved. As far as being sent, the update that we see is the receiving of the application by the NVC. Like I said that can take up to 90 days," was what one representative told me. USCIS says they cannot do anything till the 90 day mark, which will be in about a week and a half/two weeks.
I honestly have no idea what is going on and I was not sure if this is a problem that only we are going through currently. Is anyone having similar problems?? Has anybody resolved a similar issue?

I was in this same boat as well! Our NOA2 was 5/3 and we still haven't officially heard anything yet, but I came on here and someone recommended that I call the NVC directly and ask for BOTH the case number and invoice number (you'll need both to start the online DS-160 application), so you should do that! I was on hold for almost 2 hours though, so it may be good to either call right when they open or when they're about to close (07:30-00:00 EST) which is what I did and I was able to get my invoice number (my fiancé sent an email inquiry and got our case number). The NVC number is 603-334-0700.
Yes, I did see your previous comments and received insight!
But I have tried contacting NVC so many times (always right when they open) and they tell me they have NOTHING on file for us. We have everything ready for the online DS-160 application but it is just that we are stuck at this point... My lawyer has sent email inquiries too but they say they have nothing related to our petition/case yet.

Hi, everyone. Glad to see many people's visa processing going well!
I wanted to ask, is there anyone that still has not received a case number from NVC?Our NOA2 date is May 6th and we have not heard of anything since then. We are constantly trying to contact NVC but every time they tell us they have not received our petition yet. We sent an email of our approval notice to NVC, like they requested us to, after the 60 day period mark. Still, no response though. Tried contacting USCIS as well and they keep telling us to wait for NVC to receive our petition. Anyone else in this situation?? I am honestly so anxious at this point because I see others of similar NOA2 dates already getting their visas etc.

Congratulations! I am so happy for you!! My fiance and I started our whole K1 visa last August and our case was finally sent to the U.S. Embassy in South Korea this week. I wanted to ask, when you were choosing the date for the interview appointment, how was the availability of the dates? My fiance and I are eager to see each other because we have been far apart for months now and we're worried we will have to wait a while(at least a month?) for an interview because of no availability of earlier dates.
