  1. Hey Guys i got a question, maybe you can help. We had our interview last week for k1 visa and got approved verbally but now case is in administrative proccessing. How long will that take? Kind of concerned because although we had the form I-134 affadavit of support ready for showing, it was never asked for by anyone not even the CO who gave the interview? Strange right? Just want to know if this is strange to others as well and if so if i should be worried, thanks.

She did it!!  Well they said she was approved!  I did not sleep last night until 2:30am central.  But the adrenaline and grace received to me will be the fuel to drive my day today.  The KEV case # did not read anything when she was in the interview (yes I was checking it like i would the WAC # on the app, except this was on the ceac site) last night, but I just checked and it says nonimmigrant AP :).  And it was created today.  That means the visa should issue in the next couple days.  I will provide her review of the embassy process once we talk.  (It was a true Kyiv winter morning and her mom was there holding her stuff while her and son went into the embassy, so yeah I and they wanted them to be back home ASAP.)

Congrats Keith, we all know you've been very persistent in this and have helped a lot of people with your research, very well deserved and I hope your future wife arrives soon and safely. God bless you brother

  3. Hey Guys, hope all is well for everyone going through this experience, maybe someone with more knowledge than myself can help. So our case has been "at nvc" for about 3 weeks now. And the embassy will be in Guayaquil Ecuador. I'm actually here in Guayaquil at the moment with my fiance. I'm wondering if we have to submit anything else before the case can leave NVC, we have already filled out the ds 160, haven't paid the fee yet but maybe that's it? My goal is to be able to have her interview set while I'm here through the holidays. If there's anything I should do to help move this along someone please let me know. Thanks so much.

Worked on the DS-160 with her before work earlier.  That was fun.  I think there might be one part where I was confused a bit, but it was at the point where it said "is there anyone traveling with you" and I had her put her son for it.  But i also know she will fill out another DS-160 for him.  I figured that at least sets the stage for his DS-160 and won't really hurt to have it in there.  It was fun to have her go through all the security questions though (it was easy but explaining what the security question meant as in some of the paramilitary and other questions alike) but we made it.  We should be able to submit it before the end of the week and then get the receipt for the bank payment.  This way like @Caboose29 mentioned, we can start checking the interview slots for when we get the green light.

Hey Keith i myself just finished the ds-160, i dont really know where to go from here as it doesnt allow me to check for slots yet. On the visa appointment service it says "this case isnt ready to be scheduled for an interview yet" Not sure if we have to submit all documents such as Police certificate, affadavit of support and everything else before we can do that or if we have to wait until the status on Ceac changes, because as of today its still on "at NVC". So dont know what to do if i should call NVC or what

It seems strange that nothing shows up.  I think it's possible 1) You mistyped the number (unlikely), 2) They gave you the wrong number, 3) The number hasn't had time to propagate into the system to show up yet?  Regardless, you should see the message "At NVC" in the popup window.  It will stay like that until it's sent to the embassy.  If you don't see it in the status tracker page by the end of the day tomorrow, I'd call them again on Friday to double check the number.  Filling out the DS-160 now is a great idea, maybe even pay the $265 visa fee.  Once you do that, you or your beneficiary can create an account and see the scheduling calendar.  At least that's my understanding of how it works.  Probably wouldn't hurt to go ahead and fill out an I-134 as well.  It will be needed for the interview.

Yea Im going to call again tomorrow to clarify to see if i have the right number, i even doubled back with her to make sure. But she could have had it wrong i suppose. and yea im just finishing the ds-160 right now, my fiancee went to bed and she has the rest of the info i need to finish it but other than that i just want to take care of this last part of it so that we're ready to go. I'll keep posting updates.

  6. Ok guys so i just got off the phone with NVC and they gave me the case number which starts with 3 letters and then a 10 digit number. On ceac case status update nothing shows up however, is that normal? So the lady said the case hasnt been sent to the embassy yet and that they will send me an email when they do. But that basically my case is at NVC awaiting to be sent to Guayaquil Ecuador, I got a hold of a live person with in like 5 min though. So that was pretty quick but now im just going to finish the ds-160 and go from there, is there anything else you guys think im missing? Thanks for the responses Keith and Caboose

  7. Hey Keith, Congrats man on all the progress. I received my NOA2 on 10/28/21 and its been almost 4 weeks now, I haven't even called NVC yet because i've been beyond busy with work. I have some time now because of the holiday this week and was wondering just simply what do i ask them exactly? Also my attorney said we can technically fill out the ds-160 immediately and get that going. My fiancee is in Ecuador, not sure what the current wait times there are but hopefully we can get an interview by february fingers crossed. Do you think i should also fill out the online request thing for an update on NVC? Any information to guide me along in my current point in the process is appreciated, thanks.

Unfortunately, no idea for either question.  For the first, yes you wait for the paper copy.  For the second, it might be a month after you return or it might be a few months.  Once you receive it, just do your thing and return ASAP.  Who knows!  You might be one of the quick turnarounds for USCIS.

Well God willing it will be quick, have already waited 8 months just for the RFE, although I know many have waited much longer. Cant even imagine what the RFE is for, we submitted such a full package with so much info and everything they would need. I even hired an attorney to send it. Atleast an RFE is better than a denial which i think we all always fear for whatever reason it may be.

  9. Nov 30th Filer here, Just got an RFE today after 234 days of waiting since the NOA1. Although I only know this because I check my case status everyday on USCIS and i have a case tracker app. Dont actually know what the RFE is for, they said wait until Aug.6 if i havent recieved the request yet? I guess its coming in the mail, just didnt know if there was an electronic way of knowing instead of waiting.

Also how long after submitting the necessary evidence does it take to get a response or approval? Anyone? Thanks.
