You do not need additional vaccines for immigration purposes, you're done with all of them. Unless like fwaguy said, if it's a personal choice to get them or if you need them for school.

thanks diana and fwaguy for response!

does one get i-551 stamp on the passport at the port of entry or the day when the visa is approved?
would appreciate replies

thanks for the reply
-
hi... just be sure that her passport will have the stamp or sticker from the cfo...
u mean i-551 stamp at the port of the entry?

Acording to profile, your wife will be entering on an IMMIGRANT CR-1 or IR-1 visa, so NO AOS required.
Passport is stamped with I-551 stamp, making the passport a temp GREEN-CARD.
If you checked need SSN on the DS-230 you should see a card within 30 days, if not then visit SSA office and order a card.
Green-card should arrive in a month or so, in the meantime you use passport like a green-card.
Thank you Dan,
Sorry about the AoS confussion, and thanks about the other info (we did check the request for the SSN)

Hello All
I apologize if this has been discussed plenty of times before, but I wanted to know some info regarding required documents needed during the interview in Mumbai.
Do they require the I864 again @ the interview? I have already submitted the 864 to the NVC months ago and according the website it says all docs are transferred to the consulate and does not need to be submitted again... My wife's interview is tomorrow and she is freaking out because people are saying they require the original 864..
Also, I'm hearing that they are requiring the last 3 yrs of tax returns.. When I filed the 864 to the NVC, I included only 2006, as it states they only require the most recent tax year. Now they are telling her there that they want the last 3 yrs.. if they wanted the last 3, why was I not given an RFE by the NVC??
If anybody has recently gone through a CR/IR interview in Mumbai, please let me know if I need to fax/express mail these docs..
thank you !!!
as interview is tom ....i would suggest u to do exactly what embassy guys have told u do and submit those docs!

i have recvd pac 4 for cr-1 .i would now like to cancel k3 (k3 has reached usa cons. here in mumbai but there is no pac3 or pac 4 for k3 as yet).
what would be the best thing to do with k3?
It will be cancelled automatically upon arrival at the embassy.

I wanted to know if Co-Sponser needs to provide me another recenly dated bank statement & i 864??? I already have copies of the stuff I sent to NVC on co-sponser.
Have anyone ever been asked for co-sponser i 864 at vfs or during interview?????
I do not have experience of co-sponsor but I would think recently dated documents (I-864 & bank letter) are not really necessary. Most of us did not submit more recent documents and had no problem. If it is possible, you can have the co-sponsor send a couple of recently dated pay stubs. Probably no one will ask for it but it will be good for peace of mind. If it is not possible, just bring yours and don't worry about it.
i see ur timeline and u hv given k1 interview.dont know but probably does it differ for k1 n cr-1 interview ?
what i mean to say is tht they must be asking for these docs. coz of cr-1!
i think ELW is right.we shld get it......"better be safe than sorry"

Once again I was thinking about it I prepared recently dated document such as employment letter & I864 but do i need to ask my co-sponser for recently dated I 864 and bank statement as well????
My co-sponser feels that once submitting to NVC its not needed to prepare again..
what abt i-134?i get mixed opinions for that as well.is it a must for cr-1 visa ?
I134 is not required for CR-1 visa. It is only required for non-immigrant visas such as K3 or K-1.
if we look into sample packet 4 ,they have mentioned that we do not have to submit i-864 n related docs. if we hv submitted to nvc already ....then why do we again take the recent dates ones?

hi guys
as example of secondary evidence (birth certi.) :how long is the affidavit valid from the date of issue if we get a notarized affidavit from a close relative or parent on the appropriate stamp paper which must be sworn before a first class magistrate.
where in mumbai can one get this affidavit done?does anyone have sample affidavit?
would appreciate replies
I can send you samples of the affidavits I used signed my mother and sister, just PM your e-mail address. I would also make sure that the time between the date it was signed to the date you send in your petition is not very long, the USCIS might get picky about that.
Diana
hi diana
thanks for the reply.i actually wanted it for the interview as tht is what is mentioned in packet 4 as one of the secondary evidence (birth certi.) that they need !
I'm sorry. I misread your original post too. An affidavit attesting to time and place of birth would not expire.
so that means if i get it from one of my parent would not expire at the time of the interview and is calid indefinitely?
thanks!
Absolutely. This is because the date of your birth is not going to change. A police report is valid for only a year because a criminal record could change. Your marriage certificate won't expire either because the names, places and dates won't change.
thanks a lot!
