  1. Thank you - I think I'll mention it at the interview if it's still within the 5 year timeframe (which I highly doubt it will be considering the current backlog at my local Consulate!)
  2. I recently submitted my DS-260 and went over it with a fine-tooth comb about 20 times. Everything is correct, but today I remembered that we transited through a country on one of our flights to the US in 2017 (left the airport and stayed overnight at a hotel before getting back on the plane) and I completely forgot to add it to my countries visited in the last 5 years. Is this something worth unlocking the DS-260 for or should I just flag it at the interview? By the interview stage it will likely be outside the 5 year time frame anyway as the brief visit was in September 2017.
  3. Hi all I am currently in the process of completing my DS-260 and having a few issues with the addresses section. I have been fortunate to live and work in a few different countries and have taken large backpacking trips up to 4 months at a time when in the process of leaving one country and moving to the new one. i.e. leaving Australia and travelling for 4 months in Europe before settling in the UK and finding a permanent address. I have 5 of these gaps since the age of 16. When filling out the I-130a, I was able to add a note explaining any gaps, but obviously the DS-260 requires something to be entered. I know that these forms should mirror each other. My question is, do I: a) Fill out the gap in the street address as "TRAVELLING ABROAD - MOVING FROM AUSTRALIA TO UK - NO FIXED ADDRESS" and put the country as my home country and the dates. b) Fill in my Australian address for the gap which is where all mail would be sent when I was travelling/moving overseas prior to settling somewhere else. Hopefully this isn't too confusing to answer! Thank you
  4. Hi AnnaCa My I-130 has now been approved (YAY) and still planning a trip in a couple of months - would this change anything? I'm in the process of filling out my DS-260.
  5. Hi chn89 Yes they have - we were "officially" approved on 16 May (that's when my case status updated) but it actually happened on 13 May. NVC contacted us on 19 May with login details and we paid the fees. I wasn't expecting to hear anything for at least a couple weeks so that was a nice surprise!
  6. We have also been approved! Actively reviewing again on May 13 and logged in to find to Approval Notice hiding in my documents! PD: June 30 2021 Transferred to Texas Service Center from Nebraska (very early on - we don’t believe it was ever in Nebraska)
  7. Hi all I am planning a trip to visit friends and family in the US with my USC husband in late June/early July. As I have a pending i-130, what would the best evidence be to equip myself with at the border if I am questioned? I will use the VWP/ESTA to enter and will have a wedding invitation for July which we are planning to attend, along with a letter from my employer in Australia which states that I am currently a permanent employee. I have no intention on staying on illegally as I don't want to jeopardise our application in any way, we still permanently live in Australia and I also work in the legal industry so I know the importance of following the rules!
