I know we have a ways to go, but I’m excited to get this going. Mailed on July 1st, and got the text today saying our case was received. Edit: Also looks like they cashed the check today. 

Being direct and telling how it is vs passive aggressive are vastly different things but if you want to interpret it that way that's your choice. I frankly do not care if you don't like my attitude because I'm saying things without sugarcoating. This is a free website and I'm volunteering my time and advice here, I'm not a lawyer and I'm not getting paid to sit here and sweeten my words. And that's right - whatever info you give, thats what the answers are going to be based off of.
 
And they're many others who have successfully gotten answers through trying all: Senators and Congress people and USCIS Ombudsman. So why be pessimistic already without trying to reach to several people? My point is - you need start NOW because it's not a fast process and you've already let 4 months go by. I truly hope you resolve your issue and get on contacting every possible person that could apply pressure on USCIS/NVC. Good luck.
