  1. Thank you everyone for your kind words for me and my gal. That was the longest 89 days i have ever lived ...but, i know that is only a small amount of days compared to others STILL waiting. i am sorry for that everyone . You would think after hiring 1500 new workers the service centers would start speeding up now , Once again i want to wish everyone a speedy process and God bless all of my VJ family ... remember "If God leads you to it , He can lead you through it".

Actually, your waiting time is shorter than those who filed last year..apparently because of a mishap with the USCIS forwarding service.

Mine was filed in early June 2007 and approved late October which was 4 months from our filing date.

So, the 1500 new employees hired really did make a big difference.

But i agree, the hardest part of our visa journey is not the filing of the petition itself but the waiting for results....

  2. hi there! thank you for sharing this experienced to us. And thank god their are people so concerned much to all that preparing there interview too. I was approved of Noa2 yesterday, i hope you can shared to me whats the next thing that my fiancee can do. And do i need to pay the 650 peso before the interview for Delbros as i read on othe VJ's here? thank you so much and i appreciate your help for this...

God bless both of you and happy life!!

Hi there, i'm not an expert on the visa journey myself but i can relate to what ur situation right now....You're probably thinking, you got your NOA2, now what....right?? Well, now is the time when your fiance/fiancee sends you all the affidavit of support and supporting documents you will need for the interview.

And YES you have to pay the Document Verification fee of P650 thru metrobank at least 2 weeks before your interview date but i suggest you do that when you already have a scheduled interview date provided by the US embassy. I paid my visa interview fee $131 at BPI after i received my packet (but you can choose to pay it already once u have the interview date).

This is the time when you'll do a lot of waiting (as many of us did)...but the good thing about this is, you can now start gathering your legal documents while your waiting for the embassy to schedule you your appointment date...Documents like the CENOMAR & BC, gathering your evidences, etc...

I hoped i helped inform you even just a little bit. =)

  4. I have researched the rules and process for getting married to my girlfriend in the Philippines. She is 20 so needs to get Parents Consent. What is this really? A form that both mother and father sign and then notorized or is this a form letter, once again signed by the parents? Does anyone have a sample copy of something I can use, resource or otherwise to check this block.

It's a little complicatted as her father lives in Manila and her Mother in Mindinau. So will have to get two letters or have them both sign the same one?

    Suggestions advice aprpeaciated.

    Thanks

    hi!

one question, arent you petitioning your girlfriend thru K1 fiance visa?

so why are you getting married in the philippines?

  5. Hello honeybear and everyone,

I'm just curious as to when I can actually see my appointment date online at the link you gave or what numbers to enter in the blank space. I've been checking my appointment date also but don't know when is the best time to do it. Currently i don't see appointments yet or maybe i'm doing it wrong. We have filed our petition last July 16 2007.

    Thanks for any help :help:

I dont think there's really a set time when the embassy post the interview dates....Have you tried calling the Embassy at 301-2000 (not toll-free)?

Ask the operator if they have already documented your petition and if they say yes, then you'll be able to check your iv appointment date at their website in a matter of days. ( i did this and found out that even though they have received our petition, they have to document and encode it first before they can schedule us for interview)

The operator may also ask for your case number and look into their computer files if they have already scheduled you for an interview.

Be patient, if the embassy recieved already your petition then all you have to do is wait and see...

I used to check mine 2x a day thru their website.

Im a june filer, and i saw my interview date on december 10, in the morning.

    Good luck!

  7. Hello VJ family,

I have posted this on another thread but should have posted it here.

I am so happy to share with all of you the good news. After months of job hunting I finally got my dream job. I went to 5 interviews starting last Jan.2 mostly in the city over an hr away drive and just one company close to home (we live in the country so 20 mins drive is close). Yesterday I got the call from this company who told me that they're offering me the job and to check my email for the formal job offer. The employment package was soooooo good. This morning I went to my orientation and did the drug testing. I just couldn't contain my happiness at the moment.

I've been whining about how hard it is for a new immigrant like me to find work and have experienced prejudice one time or another. One employer even told me I should be working at Wal-mart for me to gain any experience. I listened to them and tried but was overqualified. The experienced didn't deter me to look for job that is really my line and my passion. It paid off. I'll be working as an Accountant in a company where I was treated professionally and fairly during the hiring provess.

So to all of you fellow "pinays" out there trying to find the job that you've been dreaming of, be patient. In God's time it will be given to you. I was especially happy that my husband patiently supported me all the way. Drove me to my interviews in the city and bought me gps for christmas presents. Now I realized that this work meant alot to me. In a way, it makes feel that as a new immigrant this work is my final step to my journey.

    Thanks everyone!

    congratulations!!!

yeah, i guess there's always going to be prejudice and discrimination towards immigrants especially asians...I hope i do well as u did when i come over to my fiance's.

    Good luck and God Bless!!!

  8. yeah, roserick is right...just pay the fees to avoid delay.

    I paid:

P650 - document verification at metrobank

    P5,502 - DS-156 at BPI

    P6,090 - Medical at SLEC

and im guessing more fees to come since ill be paying

P165 - for delbros (delivery) if, God permits, visa granted

    P250 - registration at CFO

P250 - counseling fee at CFO

That's a lot of fees, but they're all worth it just to be with my honey, hehehe!!!

Isn't it Php250.00 for the registration and counseling and then another Php400.00 for the CFO registration and stamp/sticker?

    shucks really?

well that what was indicated on their website...

well i guess they havent updated it...

    thanks for the info!

  9. Hi everyone,

I just called the embassy awhile ago..I called them everyday this week except yesterday. I told myself that if there's still no news today, I'll stop calling them for awhile coz its so disappointing. But I never stopped believing that one day our case will be approved and today i heard the good news!! It was approved yesterday, when I didn't call. hehehe I'm so happy but if you see my face its so red now from crying so hard!!! Now, I just have to wait for Delbros to deliver it. I have a ticket already on the 16th but it might not arrive on time and I don't want to rush. Either 16th or 24th. I can't wait to be with my baby and spend forever with him.

Thank you so much to everyone here who gave their support and prayers to me. I am so grateful to be a member here in VJ and also help others with their cases. Thank you most of all to our LORD, Jesus Christ for making all things possible. My patience has finally paid off! :D Now I can start living life normally again! :)

    Cheers to all,

    DeeZee

Hey DeeZee, Its about time!!! :dancing:

  11. From what I know, BCs dont expire. As for the CENOMAR, its valid for 6 months. I got my first CENOMAR last June 2007. So I decided to get a new one. I got a more recent one, dated Jan 8, 2008.

    Thanks lady anne!

I will be going to the local NSO over here to request for new copies of my BC & CENOMAR...

    I'm ssooooo glad for VJ!!

  12. better get copies of these docs 6 weeks to one month before your interview so that the information are still very fresh. although the BC has no expiration, well, you can use the old ones in the future. submit to the embassy the newest copy as well as for the CENOMAR.

check all the info in your BC and CENOMAR like spellings, dates and places and correct them in advance to avoid the necessary delays after your visa interview.

Thanks Sis Beng, as always!!!

    You're always a great help!!!

    God Bless!!!

  13. i read in one of the posts here at VJ regarding the 6months validity of the birth certificate and Cenomar from NSO...IS this true?

Did anyone have to get a more recent copy of ur BC and Cenomar before you were interviewed?

I got my BC and Cenomar last april2007...

    I'm kinda worried...Should I start requesting for a new BC & CENOMAR?

    Help pls!!! :help:

  17. Jenny went to USEM, explained the situation (delbros/pinkslip) and the Guard allowed her in. She has the pink slip, paid the delivery fee now. She was told that the Visa should be delivered in 7-10 days. And recieved a text from Delbros stating this:

DELBROS delivers! We will send you another automated text upon the release of your VISA by the US Embassy. DELBROS is always at your service!

Anyway thats the latest. God Bless

    That's great news! :dance::dance::dance:
