  1. no packet received yet. Am planning to call USEM or SLEC tomorrow to ask if I can just pick up my packet from them. Am I on the right track? Or can I just call SLEC and ask if my packet is there? Or the USEM? Oh boy oh boy!!! I am so confused!!!:wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko:

    hi lady anne,

Dont be confused...Just print out 2 copies of the interview appointment from the US Embassy website and bring 3 pcs. 2x2 pix, and passport. Bring w/ u ur vaccination record and medical records (only if you have been hospitalized recently). The guards at SLEC will let u in. Just dont go there on a monday because it's a bit crowded during that day.

The people at SLEC are very polite and step-by-step instructions will be given to you printed in a piece of paper, so you'll be fine. You might even get to chat with some people who are for fiance/fiancee visa too just like i did.

Good Luck and God Bless!

  2. Hey everyone! :star:

Is everyone feeling the excitement and/or anxiety for the interviews this Feb?

I'm almost finished with my paperworks and pictures for evidence.

    Feb is fast approaching guys!

I hope we all get visas!

    :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

  3. Thank you for all your replies...

I also got one more question though. Will it be fine to have the medical more than a month before your scheduled interview? I read from someone's post that if you are to have your medical more than a month before your scheduled interview, there is a possibility that the Consulate might ask you to have another Medical appointment. SO please help me on this thing, as I got plans on having my early medical appointment on Feb 5&6, while my nterview is March 10.

Any answer will be greatly appreciated...

Maybe..but its not really advisable to take a one-month advance medical exam (in reference to the interview date)..ideal is 2-3 weeks...

    y is it not adviseable?

  4. Chill guys!

whew, iv been a member of visa journey for quite a while now and i havent encountered about people getting snappy or angry over a subject in forums...

please...everyone is here to help, that's what the vj forum is about right?

everyone extending help to someone who needs it.

SO TO EVERYONE POSTING QUESTIONS: Don't get offended with the comments or the answers of some of the members, clear them up first with the one who commented...I'm sure its all just a misunderstanding.

A lot of these guys who are commenting just want to give infos since they might be knowledgeable of the topic or they have experience regarding the topic.

I know because i had lots of help from these guys ...besides i dont think they would post comments just to make someone feel bad. :luv: :luv: :luv:

Dont bite at them okay? Jeezz...the year just started guys....

Stay cool and God bless everyone!!! :D :D :D

  5. i agree with roserick...

i paid mine last december 29, 2007 and my interview is on feb. 6!

Im just making sure no delays would happen with regards to my visa (hope to God i get approved :P )

So my suggestions is just pay for he document verification fee and get it over with.

    Good luck and God bless!!!

  6. Hey, Congratulations!!!!

Your visa was delivered just 3 days after your interview, wow!

I hope all visa deliveries are that fast especially when everyone is so anxious to be with their loved ones.

Are u residing in the metro? is that why the visa was delivered quickly? coz i read some of the VJers over here recieve theirs after 10-14 days after their interview.... :dancing:

  7. i agree with racquel, a lot of people have done it successfully without acquiring the services of a lawyer.

The VJ people are more well versed with the ins and outs of the application process and this is speaking out of experience. VJ helped me a lot regarding our petition.

The first thing you have to acquire would be the K1 application packet which is downloadable via the USCIS website. My fiance acquired a K1 booklet which has all the forms needed to be submitted but I'm not sure where he got it.

Have your fiance fill out the G325 form and follow the instructions included in the packet and you'll be okay.

God bless and Goodluck on your journey!

  8. I must say that those questions asked are hardly silly :angry::wacko::wacko:

    JOKING!!!!! :ranting:

    :innocent::innocent::innocent::innocent::innocent::innocent::innocent:

    :whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:

    Chill guys!

Hi lady anne, i guess ur not used to some of these guys playing a joke on u huh?

i was a victim too with sheriff uling, hehehe! but it was all iin good fun, just to ease up the tension and anxiety brought about the topics discussed in the forum. Im sure djturbo didnt mean to be mean to u. peace y'all!!!

By the way lady anne, try surfing thru the previous forums here at VJ, im sure ull find a lot of the answers to ur questions here at VJ since a lot of them already had succesfully gone to the US to be with their fiance/fiancees, spouses and family!

    God bless!!!

  9. I flew Philippine Airlines late July 07 San Francisoc-Manila, then Manila-Davao and return Davao- Manila then Manila-LAX early August 07. Each flight PAL left on-time and arrived early. I thought security (which is actually an airport matter) was more than adequate with each flight.

When I go back to the Philippines to be at Mayeth's embassy interview, I will fly PAL again. I was very impressed with every aspect of Philippines Airlines service.

What does all od this mean?

Does this mean we cannot fly with PAL to the US anymore?

I plan on flying PAL because they have direct flight to Hawaii.

  10. Am planning to have my early medical on Feb 5&6 (my appointment is March 3). And before I will have my medical on Feb 5, I will be attending the CFO seminar on Feb 4...

So the questions that bother my mind are:

    1. Will it be ok if I just show up in CFO early monday morning and attend the seminar? Is there no reservation prior to the attendance? what are the things that I need to bring for my CFO seminar? Do they require a passport in the seminar?

    2. Will it be fine if I just show up in SLEC on Feb 5&6 without any advance notice? Will they just allow me to have my medical on that day? And also what are the things that I need to bring with me for the medical? I read that I need to present the copy of my NOA2 during the medical. Is this true?:unsure::blink::unsure:

    3. Can I already pay the document verification fee at the metrobank now?

    4. As for the picture, is it just a passport sized picture? As far as my knowledge goes, the passport photos are now change from white background to blue. Will this be the case for my pcitures for the remainder of the process?

So far, these are the questions that I have in mind. Please help VJ family.

Ill try to be of help to u:

    Question#1:

Im not very familiar with the CFO as i havent yet taken my seminar. i plan on taking it after i recieve my visa and passport from the embassy (God willing i'd be approved). Some of the VJers advised me to just take it after i get the passport with visa so i wont have to go back for my sticker.

Take note: If u have your early medical before your CFO seminar, you wont be able to present your passport to the people at the CFO since SLEC would be the one to send your passport, together with your med exam results to the embassy for your interview.

    Question#2:

You can proceed to SLEC as long as you have your appointment letter and a photocopy (either from the packet or printed from the internet), 3 pieces of 2x2 pictures and black pen...Dont go there on Mondays because it's hectice during mondays, preferrably middle of the week to avoid large crowds.

    Question#3:

You can actually pay the P650 document verification fee at any metrobank branch..just follow the directions on the website regarding how to pay thru the delbros account.

    Question#4:

Just bring a 2x2 picture with you. I had 3 pieces 2x2 visa format photos just to be sure...i didnt want to take any chances of any hassles and they accepted it.

LASTLY, you can visit Beng and Carl's VJ account:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...=100458&hl=

which documents her experience during her medical last december....

    Goodluck!

  11. my fiance sent me only one notarized copy of I-134 because that's what was said in the the packet.....Should i have my fiance send me another one???

Shucks, my interview is on feb 6 already...

you only need one notarized I-134 for the interview. having a backup is a good idea, but it's not required.

    whew, thanks for the info...

i guess i could have it photocopied...as with the other documents my fiance sent me.

    God bless!!!
