  1. hi!! did you have already medical date?? our case was approved may 02, 2008. i don't have medical and interview sked yet. i havn't got letter from manila embassy. Do i need to wait the letter from manila embassy, or its better to call them now and asked if our case is alrady there, for early interview. I would love if i could have my interview before my birthday on june 20. Good luck on your interview.

I waited for one week after the paperwork was delivered to USEM.

I called the 800 number and payed $18 and got a PIN #, and set up the interview, it was very easy and no waiting on the phone.

Once I got Intreview date, the Embassy sent a email (while I was on phone with USEM) to my fiance and to me as well regarding our Interview date.

She will take email confirmation for Interview Date and use it for Early Medical.

hi! u called even your fiancee havent gotten the confirmation letter yet? could you pls post the number u called?

She this is the number ....1-888-877-9888

  4. hello! i just want to ask what did you do after getting the NOA2. did u call the NVC?

i just read some posts of calling the NVC and the USEM to verify somethings about the application..

could you help me make things clear with it..why call the NVC and USEM?

    tnx guys

  5. Tee hee thanks Shes! I will take any good vibes we can get!

On a dif note I got wii fit yesterday and OMG what fun it is! I am HOOKED! I know how I shall be wasting time now haha! Anyone have any plans for this long weekend? I know it is bank holiday in England as well....no plans for me except laundry, beer, and wii fit haha!

i love wii! but im liking PSP cus its simply portable...i can hang out at burger king playing and eating fries and can browse the net with it too! kewl

  6. A lot of people who was asked to do the sputum test requested to see the xray result just to see for themselves where that 'suspicious thing' is but SLEC wont even show it to them, as if just getting it from the file would kill them (that xray floor is perhaps the haven for the least hospitable amongst the SLEC staffs)

this is unfair! let me tell you people who will undergo the medical, we have the right to see and read the result of the x-ray, eventhough technically we might not be able to really read the xray plate..the diagnostic result (the paper) should be provided to us and THAT IS A PATIENT'S RIGHT.

so demand to see the results isf they dont show you..tell them you paid and you have the right to see!

    ..

also i just remembered, it was just a hearsay from some clinic i've gone through before..the BCG isn't provided to babies in PI anymore..i dont know if thats for a fact.

  7. hi people! hey i'd just like to tell:

GREIVIN & COURTNEY and JEROEN & MICHELLE

im watching our application since we were all touched at the same dates - JANUARY 29. 2008

im believing that if one of us gets that approval, the 2 will follow

about the uscis website...i cant get through the "log in" site..i click the go button and it says loading but its taking too long...

HEY now I was touched on Jan 27th 2008! Don't forget meeeeeeee!!!!

added you on my watch list sunnybear!

  8. Hi shes!

I'm just curious, are you a medical doctor?

The poster stated that his fiancee is a documented PTB case and has undergone the necessary treatment. Infact she has notes from her doctor and recent (3 months) x-ray result too. I wonder why the pulmonologist at st. luke's waited for a day before telling her to have the sputum AFB test when she is already a known case of PTB. she could have done the sputum exam the next day thus saving her a day of going back and forth to the clinic.

To wizardfitz, hang in there. this is just a bump on your journey as dbears said. we're praying for you guys.

    -ApriL

i am a registered nurse in the u.s. :) thats why i understand how st. lukes are adopting their standard, well ofcourse basically because we are applying for a u.s. visa.

the philippines requires the vaccine called "BCG" for babies which that makes as all positive for the PTB "skin" test, because this type of vaccine produces bacteria same as that of PTB's bacteria.. thats why st. lukes is not immediately up for the"skin test" but to the "xray result" if its positive THEN they will take the sputum test which will then say if the client is an active PTB patient or a past one.

see if the client is negative with the xray, theyre done with it? because the xray tells the trace of PTB..also pneumonia can occur as well..and i heard that due to the climate right now in PI, flu and pneumonia are rising up.

i just took a pneumonia vaccine last week for prevention though

  9. it seems SLEC just do the "something suspicious on your xray" thing on a hit and miss basis... i also have another friend (a fellow vjer) who had to undergo sputum may 21,22 & 23..

now atleast people who'll undergo this test dont need to do it monthly though..ideally it should be once per month.. so 3 months monitoring

  10. the sputum exam is done to check for the presence of the bacteria. for those who got a suspicious xray results, it is really mandatory to undergo a 3 sputum test and if the client is completely healed from TB she should have 3 consecutive NEGATIVE result. (1 test per month)

the process is from the u.s. medical standard.

so for all of us, the best way to really prevent delays is to have an early medical check up and be cured as early as possible

  11. they dont thoroughly check your teeth and they just want to see if you have a complete set or if you're using denture etc...

gosh have your dental check up there before leaving to the US... coz guess what? they charged me almost $5000 just for the following:

    root canal

    filling

    crown

    cleaning

im like OMG!!! i wana kill the dentist for that bills!!! hehehe JK... but if you can guys, try to have a dental check up there coz its cheaper...

was it a requirement for u in ur u.s. application? or u just really went to the dentist?

  12. I was total OCD when it came to the USCIS page, but I've found out that it's not something to rely on. I just found out today that our petition is at the Consulate and the USCIS site still says "Case received and pending" and it was last updated 2/24/08. So not only has it left CSC, been through NVC and is now sitting at the Consulate in Morocco. So I wouldn't worry so much about their page. They don't seem to be on top of keeping it updated.

really? so u how did you know that you're case has been approved?

  13. this is off topic but i cant help but burst out this ton of annoyance in my heart about me and my fiance's situation, we get too involve in arguments that arises due to the feeling of missing each other terribly! i feel hes working too much that he cant spare an energy to spend time with me (decently) i mean....yeah we talk everyday, but talkng for us means...saying hi hello, what happened to ur day today...blah blah...soon il b hearing a snore-y "i love you too" when i say i love you to him..

i feel like what the F@%@!!!!!! and when i try to vent out my feelings to him..he'll be reasoning out that he is working hard for us.

i really feel at the baddest with this! we tend to move on with our lives and forget what had happened bad and when something wrong rises up..it will bury cover the last bad issue we had! and so on....JUST BECAUSE WE ARE NOT SPENDING TIME ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the hell, this csc doing this week?????

That's a really crappy catch 22 kind of situation. He needs to work to save up money and be settled when you get there...but you want to spend time together. Dennis and I are going through a similar thing...he needs to get his house ready for sale, but we want to spend time together. It's a little bit easier for us because we're only an hour apart timewise. Could you guys maybe set up one time a week where you dedicate a couple of hours to each other? Maybe on his days off?

tnx so much for taking time to give suggestion..we are 14 hrs apart time wise, its like when hes fully up im sleepy dork and when he feels so dead tired im the one hus so ready to talk. we talk everyday though i just cant have a patience sometiems whenever i hear his voice sounds so tired when he talks to me..it gives me a feeling that hes not excited to tlk to me.

    i love him so dearly.

well, i guess an NOA2 for us will swipe this negative vibes in an instant

  15. Hi VJ'rs! Well I was able to get my fiancee her interview date by calling USEM!! I just hope they did not forget to tell me about a medical exam date. They only stated it should be done one week before, but gave me no specific date for the medical. I guess its just a walk in? I hope.

Thanks for any info everyone! B)

    here's the link..

    visa appointment

is it the manila case number that il put on the blank space in there?

  16. in a relationship, there should be a two way process...u adjust, he adjust, u give, he gives...it shouldnt be something to impost on each other nymore but a natural flow within you and ur partner. even without reminding each other that ur not spending time anymore, one should have that instinct already. i believe thats the fruit of love = giving.

communication is the foundation of a healthy relationship

love is the one that motivates a person to pursue a healthy relationship..

    (see the connection in there?)

  17. I believe shes is asking what happens to us specifically - K1 holders. Adjustment of Status, which we are required to file in order to work, gives us a two-year conditional green card, does it not? So I guess that would make us green card holders.

If we don't file Adjustment of Status within the 90 days, we're out of status - does that mean we can technically be deported? I've always been curious...

im confused about it too...cus i thought, that the K1 beneficiaries will be given an SSN when we go to U.S. so we can work while were there.. but ive always been curious if someone will ask me of my status when im already there..what wud i say... especially to the employers..
