  1. There's this immigration lawyer called Mr Morrison that charges about 5k usd for a mandamus (when I once asked). It works. His phone number: +1714 661-3446. He also replies to your doubts, no charge.
  2. I'm sorry 😔 Rarely sent on Wednesdays as well, so I was told in a K1 group chat on WhatsApp.
  3. Just fill their forms and mention your WAC. Usually there's a blank space to briefly comment what's the problem you're facing with a federal agency. Congratulations! Me too! So excited, the wait is almost over!
  4. In your NOA2 letter there is a date of expiration. If it's past that, you need to email your consulate asking for a renewal. Since it's been so long, you must contact the Ombudsman, it's someone who helps you when USCIS loses cases or delays it for longer than predicted. https://www.dhs.gov/topic/cis-ombudsman/forms/7001#no-back
  5. It's BS, keep calling uscis to ask about it and contact a senator or congressman about this. Mine took 36 days to arrive at the NVC. It's not ideal but it's not the worst.
  6. After the NOA2 you may receive an email from the NVC once your case arrives there. USCIS doesn't notify us when they send the case, but you can always call them asking for this info.
  7. Yes, email the consulate saying the wac, beneficiary and petitioner names + date of birth and describe your situation. Ask if the case is there.
  8. Sometimes this happens, but it's rare. You can send an email to the consulate asking if your case is there. It's also valid asking the NVC about your case as well, via their inquiry page.
  9. Yes, you're right. And that's amazing cause they don't observe elections as a national holiday. For a moment I freaked out
  10. Well guys, the next NVC shipment date is this Tuesday (8). But it's Elections Day for the Midterms, some states observe it as a federal holiday (Maryland, where the nvc is, included). I don't know if they'll really send the cases out to the consulates this Tuesday. Maybe they will, maybe it will be done on Wednesday only. If anyone is notified by them this week, please update us.
  11. In some cases the NVC simply doesn't contact the couple when the case arrives or leaves there. Email your embassy to make sure, maybe your case is already there?
  12. A friend of mine said they send emails on Wednesdays too. There's still hope 🙏
  13. I was wondering if our case would be sent today, but so far we haven't received any email. NOA2 August 24th / NVC received September 29th.
  14. I'm glad it worked for someone using the chat, but usually Emma is useless and keeps you on a never-ending chat with no true answers. Call USCIS and demand answers (with politeness, ofc). This is a paid service. Say infopass to speak directly to an agent. If an agent doesn't give you answers, call again and try speaking to someone else. Same for NVC. Send emails asking if the case has arrived there yet. Don't wait for them to email you - sometimes they won't and you just hear something from them when the case is already in transit to the embassy weeks later.
  15. Also, something quite unprecedented happened to us. When we received the email saying they had received it, we opened an inquiry to ask for the case number etc. They replied to the inquiry saying the case wasn't there yet and that we should disregard the last email. Later in the same day, we received another email stating that nevermind, the case was indeed there. What a mess. I thought the NVC was a bit more reliable than USCIS. Anyways, now we're waiting for the case number again. Hoping there's no more bad surprises as this one.
  16. Now they're sending the cases electronically first, in the last call my fiancé made, they said our case was sent and received by the NVC on September 20th. But the nvc just emailed us about it on the 29th. I don't know which date exactly to consider.
  17. I don't know, but I told my fiancé to ask for a tier 2 agent. He made several calls, whenever he did they said something about the case status (if there or already sent). You should call again, say infopass and ask for a tier 2 agent. Maybe you can talk to someone who's more helpful this time.
  18. That's the one we emailed them, really. I think it was most helpful to call uscis and ask them if it was sent already.
  19. My fiancé just received an email from the NVC saying they have our case!! 🥳 Every week since the approval we have been sending them emails and we also called uscis and opened an inquiry with them. Plus asked a senator to help us if possible. Not sure if any of these helped but we did what we could while waiting.
  20. My NOA2 is from August 24th. My fiancé called USCIS yesterday and they said they sent our case on September 20th. We're waiting for the NVC to reply our email about the receipt.
  21. For what I read from immigration lawyers on Twitter, seeking asylum is an even bigger headache than the K1 visa. Hope your fiancé can stay in a safe place while waiting and have her interview soon.
  22. Has anyone ever called uscis about the shipment of your case to the NVC? Searching for someone that could talk about the experience, if it helps or not. Still waiting for my case to arrive at the NVC (asking this on both August and July groups).
