  1. we just did ours in Jan and it took almost 2 weeks to be mailed to her home. but if you opt to pick it up in Manila I'd assume you shave a few days off of that. if you're going into the embassy you'll need to pass a PCR test.
  2. my fiance did the same thing and I couldn't see what she was doing and it freaked me out. I really wish they didn't put them together like that
  3. How would they know those were done in 24hrs though? The only thing I'm concerned about is the traveldocs site mentions it has to be within 24hrs of leaving on the flight.
  4. On the UStraveldocs website it says that anyone over 2 needs a negative test to fly to the US. However my Fiance might have to get it done possibly 2 days out. During her interview last month she had to get a follow up covid test at the main hospital in Manila and it took TWENTYFOUR hours to just be seen. I would like her to do it in her home town before she leaves for Manila. They are driving down and not flying into Manila to leave. Has anyone had someone come over and deal with this? She's vaccinated and can get a test in her home town but the time table is what is worrying me. Would they flag it at the airport if it was 2 days before instead of 1?
  5. fantastic! I looked at the CFO website. Is it just watching videos or is there a quiz?
  6. good to know. and they can email the certification for her to just print out? at this point we are just waiting for her passport to be returned.
  7. no she had to go in person to get hers in a nearby city. she just ended up doing it yesterday
  8. so CFO is another thing to pay for? uggghhh.....
  9. bummer. She got doubles already though. She had to drive a little far to get it done.
  10. if you call the embassy now. their message talks about visa delivery now and mentions an email to follow up. I managed to get through to them the other day and they said that once it's shipped we will get an email and a text to the number on file at the ustraveldocs website. It's barely been a few days so just give it a little time.
  11. My fiance just had her interview and the embassy took hers and it wasn't a copy. It was an official one. You will need at least 2 copies and she should be able to go someplace local to get the copies. Especially if she is planning on going to get a social later on. Best to get it done before she leaves there. Mine paid 1k php per copy and it was done in a day. In America we rarely give them up but there apparently they do?
  12. yeah mine does have that number but it was using LBC. Nothing pops up. Just gotta hope they email me and it's been sent to the local SM. She never even got her initial visa packet from the embassy. Philippine mail is such a joke.
  13. what's bizarre is on the cgifederal page I changed it to the LBC option and shortly after the page loaded and now it keeps thinking that I'm filing another visa. It won't show me the finalized stuff anymore. I'm going to try to call the embassy to confirm it was sent using LBC and not to her house. We have her phone and my email in the contact information. Will the embassy send out anything when it is mailed?
  14. if the ceac site says it's 'issued' does that mean the passport is en route to her?
  15. My fiance loved it at Bayview. It had an open air pool and the breakfast buffet every morning was stellar. So much so they were full til Dinner. She was able to walk to the embassy. She passed her intervew in less than an hour and half. They asked basic family questions and didn't even look at the pics enclosed. Now we are just waiting on the Passport to come back!
  16. Has booking an SSA appointment been timely since it's covid time nowadays? Just wondering.
  17. Keep checking. I think they are waiting to release the February dates once some of the January ones are done. I know with the K1 they opened up some of the first week in February already. It feels like they are doing a type of visa each day of the week.
  18. Fiance has one scheduled tomorrow and Rapidvisa closed due to a covid case so she got almost zero prep. We basically have been doing this ourselves at this point. I got her booked at the Bayview nearby which is REALLY nice btw. Any tips from people who have done it would be appreciated. Thanks and wish us luck!
  19. I kind of assumed that for air travel seeing as how it's been going. When that time comes I'll just have her get a local one in her town to avoid this mess.
  20. I WISH I had seen this sooner. Honestly they caught us off guard though. She was all set to go back to SLEC ermita for her second PCR and they turned her away. So she was in a scramble to figure out where to go. We basically got screwed by them.
  21. The clinic they told them to go to ended up being a 24hr ordeal. 15hours alone just to get swabbed. By that point the baby had a fever. They ended up giving the kid a blood test that came out ok. I rescheduled her physicals for the day after so they could recover. It's just ridiculous. Oh and they charged me for an emergency visit for EACH person on top of the PCR tests. So all in all it cost almost 500us just for them to get swabbed. 😡
  22. The only thing is it has to be a licensed Department of Health Clinic or facility or Slec won't even count it. It's a racket.
