I had the similar experience today but my interview was virtual

    - check in took 5 minutes
    - waited for 15-20 mins on second floor before called in
    - virtual interview in a cubicle with other people having interviews in cubicles in the same area/hall and it took 20-25 mins
    - at the end of interview, officer asked me to leave GC at the cubicle
    - Waited for 90 mins on second floor for oath
    - oath ceremony was at the hall on first floor and    got certificate and welcome packet at the end of it

question - has anyone had any experience with updating social security card after naturalization?

Done and done! Here's a breakdown of my interview today:
    - arrived 15 mins before appointment, checkin took 5 mins
    - waited for my interviewer on the 2nd floor for maybe 30 mins then was called in
    - really nice officer, asked me a couple of questions, updating address, etc. Then civics and English.
    - Officer asked me if I want same day oath, I said yes, she administered the Oath and boom, 30 mins and I was out.

I'm currently waiting for my certificate of naturalization, they said 15-20 mins, super excited!

Will update the sheet as well, keep the faith peeps and thanks for all those that shared their stories before!
  4. Thanks

I entered the building at 8:30 in the morning. Waited roughly an hour to be called for the interview. The interviewer was very friendly and made me comfortable. They started with civics questions and then English reading and writing tests. I got it done really quickly. Then the interviewer asked several questions on my application, all straight forward.

I was asked to provide my driver license, all previous passports and GC.

Then the no and yes questions. After that she recommended for approval and asked me if I want to take the oath now. I did oath at the same time. The interview took about 30 mins total including oath.

I then waited about 15-20 mins in the lobby to get my citizenship certificate.

Finally interview scheduled! 3 weeks later than expected in the excel sheet. Even 5 weeks later than my own expectation. All interviews have 1 months notice as we have seen here, my notice is 6 weeks lol. I am being delayed to the most possible, screwed up all my travel plans as passport will take another 6 weeks at least and school will start by the time 🤣, but at least I am now reliefed with a date on July 22nd.

I did my interview today and got my citizenship ♥️

My schedule was 1:50 pm, got in 1:35 out 3:15, total 1:40 with citizenship in hand. awesome.

    TL;DR

Don't take it too seriously, it's a quick and welcomey process if you are basically eligible.

More detailed for the one who cares:
(as gratitude to this amazing thread)

    security check airport style,
    body temperature,
    2 min check-in (showing notice),
waiting room, 5 min, 30 ppl, social distancing and all.
    calling my number,
A nice smiling lady escorts me to a private cubicle office.

    *my HB 120bps*

    Virtual interview:
    computer screen,
    tablet,
    headset with mic
printer and empty outgoing documents bin (for green card and sign documents)

been asked by escort lady to take from my 4lb documents bag:
Driver's license, green card, my foreign passport. the rest in the draw.

Very nice smiley officer on screen,
I start by standing and "swear to say the truth..so help me god"

check basic details, showing driver's license, green card, passport.
asking for my SSN number, I am like, I don't know it by heart, I have it here, taking it from the draw.

then the civil test, 6 easy questions. not the complex, but I bet it's purely random.
then reading (on a tablet) - 4 words. lol.
writing on a tablet 8 words,
Wrote lincoln incorrectly. don't seem to care much.

the Officer tells me I am done with the test, congratulations, the printer spits my N-652 (test approval) for me to keep, and now for the N-400 eligibility test:

Basically, we went throw MOST of the questions in it, but quickly, found two mistakes I did, one, for example, I was married only 1 in my life, my wife (apparently) ZERO times, guess I like them fresh

after the long whole yes\no questions part from the n-400, showing me on the tablet the two fixes for my approval. printer spit, I sign, left on document bin with my green card.

Congratulate me again, and escort me out for my Oath.

Waiting room, 15 min, calling me to another room, 3 people with me, standing over a desk, an Officer came, smiling (under the mask), congratulate us, we like froze like popsicles...

repeat after me.. Oath of Allegiance.

congratulate again, "you can klap yourself, it's a big moment for you".
got envelop with my certification, passport request form and vote registered pages, and a small flag. done.

I think my main point, I came too stressed, learn all 100 questions by heart, prepare everything, came ready for a war, eventually, it was a very smooth process, and I wish you all to come more relaxed than me.

I hope for all of you the same smooth and nice process, I heard that it is easy, but still came too heavy, light a bit, its a celebration time, not test time

That's my 2 cents, good luck to all.

    p.s.
photocopy in UPS south center, 10 min drive, good advice.
also my passport USPS appointment is tomorrow morning. thanks to this thread. 🙏

feel free to PM if needed.

This is what I recently read on reddit which seems to be the most common recommendation:
If you're applying on the basis of marriage to a US citizen, you need to bring 3 years of IRS transcripts.
If you owe taxes or are in an otherwise irregular situation with the IRS, you need to bring 5 years of IRS transcripts, or 3 years if applying for naturalization on the basis of marriage to a US citizen.
If you've taken any trips abroad lasting more than 6 months but less than a year, you need to bring 5 years of IRS transcripts, or 3 years if applying for naturalization on the basis of marriage to a US citizen.

That said I still plan on bringing last 5 years of transcripts to my interview because I dont want to risk a RFE for something that I have easily available.
  19. Thanks

+1 to this question, I remember seeing somewhere that it's advised to bring official transcripts for last 3 or 5 years. Is that true, anyone got asked for their taxes during the interview?

Early this morning (14 Apr) I sent a message via the USCIS account inquiring about the RFE notification and ask why nothing has been uploaded or received in the mail (so far).  I just logged on to my account a few minutes ago and see that the RFE notification has disappeared.  I still haven't received a response from USCIS, but I'm hoping that the RFE notification was just bug that has been corrected.  No guarantees, but it's a good sign that perhaps this was just a glitch in the matrix...
I'll update again as I learn anything new.  I'm sure if it's happened to a few of us, there's probably more people who it' has happened to who may be reading this, but aren't commenting on this this thread.

interview date will be update when send by mail...

I thought I will get email or SMS when they updated it, but so far got nothing.

attached screenshot of how it looks like, not sure why the right counter is showing 9 months.. seems awfully broken feature..
