  1. Does anybody know if they happen to be open on saturday....??????

Whooo CONGRATULATIONS MIRLA (AND PAT!) ;)

Btw yeah they're open until midnight, so you can call them now and you just need to have your case number from USCIS (they will be able to track it) and they'll give you their case number if it's availeable yet.

    WOW It's over Mirla! hahaha

    Cheers!

  2. I just did our I-129f timeline (and yes I know its just a projection), but it says that the file should be adjudicated in June. What does that mean?...that it will be approved and sent to NVC or we will have our interview by then or what? :help:

It's an estimate date of when your NOA2 will be adjudicated by USCIS only.

NVC forwarding and Interview date are other different steps.

  3. Hello everyone :)

I just want to share my happiness, so I am just updating about my case.

Its been about 4 weeks after NOA2, I was just about to call NVC to see if they got my case.

My boyfriend just emailed me and said that he got a letter from NVC!!!!

I am pretty surprised the fact he already got the letter and I will get a package very soon

I guess they are working harder now since the holiday is over...

I hope every case get approved soon and we all can be happy!!!

Once again, those who helped me on this, I apprecaite it a lot!!

    Thanks (L)

    That's cool! so exciting!

We were approved last friday, we've been getting touches from USICS.

Does anyone knows what is it supposed to be?

Congratulations to both of you ^_^

  5. I am AFRAID that this past incident will hurt the petition.

CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ADVICE???? PLEASE HELP ME.... :help::crying::help:

    Thank you.

There are many people who have been refused entry, Talita. It will not hurt the petition unless you have done something illegal. Merry Christmas.

    Hey Talita :)

    - First I'd like to say I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through a situation like that, to be at the airport and have to turn back around. I can only imagine how frustrating it should have been.

But everything happens for a reason so just have faith.

And like "Krikit" said above, there are many people who have been refused entry before, and haven't had their K1 process affected. Many of these people are found here on VJ too.

So unless you did something illegally you should be good.

Best of luck and stay faithful!

  6. yep, I'm with you on that... if it had no impact on anyone else, then I would say go ahead and call your congressman as soon as you want... but as it probably does, even in the relatively minor way that Brian describes above, then I think waiting is the only right way to go about things

The part responsible for things taking impact on others or not, is not the petitioner asking for better service. It could never be! but the government dept. responsible for such job.

and as for 'accepting things like a mule' - how broadly can this be applied? would you say that illegal immigrants are simply those who have decided not to 'accept everything like a mule' and are just taking action to improve their life? they may well be, but that doesn't make it right either

(and no, I'm not saying the two things are equal, just using an example that we'll all identify with ;) )

Me as a person who believe and trying to do things legally, do not believe and do not support illegals or their ideals.

So NO IT CAN NOT APPLIED that broadly. ever.

Since like you said the two things are not equal, it can't even be compared.... someone asking for a legal service and fighting for better service to an illegal. It doesn't even make sense to me.

  7. I don't think it was nescicary to call your congressman yet. Leave it for those who really need it, like April, May and June filers.

    Good point...

    I don't think so.

Just because ones are within the time frame doesn't mean you HAVE to accept everything they want you too like a mule.

Six months is too much and it's not fair, if there's no complain it's less likely that the kind of service will ever get better but more likely worst.

It never hurts, no matter what the position is to receive better treatment.

    - Well done "moosestang" - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Hi all,

    Please help!!!

I have a relative currently living is USA. He came to USA when he was 12 years old. He finish his jur. school, high school, BS in Economics, BS in Computer Science and finally MS in Computer Science (this week). Unfortunately he is undocumented. So he now want to go back home to Bangladesh because it seems there is nothing going to happen soon ( I mean amnesty).

Now the question is How can he legally get exit permit fro immigration dept. so he can buy a ticket to go back home.

His Original passport was lost then he received another passport for the Bangladeshi consulate.

    Please help.

    david

Exactly... he can just leave the U.S whenever he wants.

  9. Fellow August Filers: can you report if you have started receiving NOA2. July seems to be finishing. CSC hurry up.

I filled on 8/15. Got NOA1 on 9/27 with received date 8/21. I hope CSC uses 8/21 as priority date.

Can I start preparaing for affidavit of support as soon as the approval comes because it takes time to prepare and send to India.

Hello CSC filers.... I hope u dont mind me being a litttle nosey here ^_^

Yes they will use the received date "bengalilover", we had the same doubt a few weeks ago and my fiance called USCIS to make sure about it. And they said it's the received date is what's relevant for adjudication... so don't worry.

    Good luck everyone!!!!

  10. Everything that you made copies of to send with your petition, send the originals to your fiancee. That includes boarding passes, photographs, receipts, birth certificate, letters, etc. If it was in your petition, send the original to your fiancee. Do not, however, send your passport if you used it as evidence. Make copies, but don't send the real one.

So send everything I sent with my K1 petition to the California service center to her?

    Hello Dave!

I'd think that the best thing to do is: call or e-mail her local consulate and question about it.

Since some requirements can be different from one consulate to another

    Good luck on your journey!

    - Vanessa

  11. Here are the August Stats - I don't know how to put the info in the post itself so I uploaded the file.............

Thanks for the statistics Munesh and Suzie!!!! It's very nice.

And don't feel so discouraged I know this might sound as a cliche... but i know that they have received tons of applications before ours (August ones) so I bet they have a whole lot of work from these before fee increase filers.

We might hear something in another month.

Stay positive and thanks again! ^_^

  12. Hi everyone we are still here, no approval, no touches. "We" are litterly addicted to checking the USCIS site daily, which is not good i know. "A watched pot never boils".

By the way, can someone instruct me how to put my time line on the bottom of my emails and posting and responses?

I know what you mean... ive had ups and downs checking USCIS website or not as well.

About the time line: look on the right top corner of the page and go to "My Controls" and then to the left you click on "Edit Signature"
