Balut
in Philippines
I ate it when I was there and surprisingly found it actually very tasty. I really didn't like the liquid you had to drink that much though. Who else liked balut?

No blue slip. We got the pink slip. They just had to redo the finger scanning and never told us. When we called to see what was taking so long they told us. By then it was too late for her to come home.

Well she didn't get the visa in time so I am here in Taipei airport alone waiting for my connecting flight to LA. Worst part is seeing the empty seat next to me and knowing my Fiancée was supposed to be there.

I'm here in Taipei airport waiting for my connecting flight to LA. My Fiancée isn't with me We went back for finger scanning, waited 2 hours just for that. Then when we got to the finger scanning lady she was very rude and shouted at my finacée that she wasn't pushing hard enough. Then she said ok, go home now. I asked her if we could pick up the visa and she said they don't do that and if I wanted visa pick up I should have told the person who interviewed us. I told her that I had no clue this was going to happen and it was their fault they didn't even contact us that we had to redo the finger scanning. She said sorry. So I called the embassy later and they said there was nothing they could do, but to fax Team 4 requesting to expedite. We did and they didn't approve it. So I had to rebook her flight for May 20 (I would have sonner but who knows what will happen anymore). And EVA Air just raised their prices so I will have to pay the extra, plus the fee of rebooking. I don't know how much that will be yet.
The worst part is sitting on the plane and seeing the seat next to me empty, and knowing my fiancée was supposed to be there. I hope everything goes smooth here on out.

There was a problem with her finger scanning and the embassy didn't even call us. I had to call to see what was taking so long for the visa to be delivered. They knew 5 days before I even called. Now she has to wait until tomorrow to rescan her finger...If we can't pick up the visa on wednesday we won't be flying home together on Thursday. I don't get why the embassy doesn't call when they know there is a problem...

So we passed our interview on April 16th. We didn't ask for Visa pick up. Still a week and a half later there was still no Visa so I called the embassy last Friday. They said she had to redo her finger scanning. The thing is they never told us and they knew since the Monday before...Now we have to wait until tomorrow to do the finger scanning again. I hope they will allow us to pick up the visa on Wednesday cause our plane leaves on Thursday I'm just angry that they didn't even bother to call us to let us know of the problem. Everyone pray that everything works out and we leave to the USA on the same plane. Shes doing her CFO right now.
Tip for everyone. Call everyday to check the status of your visa. If there is a problem they sure as hell wont tell you.

April 16 was my birthday and our interview. We passed! The questions were all simple like where I lived, where did we met, how long ago was my last visit, how many times I visited, how many siblings she had, when I flew in to the Philippines. Now just waiting for the Visa and we leave May 1

Thanks! Just waiting for my connecting flight to Manila. Free internet kiosks in the airport! Score!

Thanks everyone! I'm here in the Taipei airport waiting for my connecting flight to Manila. I can't believe my interview is less than 24 hours!

I am heading to the airport in about an hour and heading to the Philippines. I arrive the 15th and our interview is the 16th. I'll let you all know how it goes.

That sucks thegrategate. I hope everything turns out for the best. I was worried about my fiancée's xray because about 2/3 of the philippines has TB. Hope everything goes fast for you.

I am wondering if there is a place in the Philippines where you can stick your SD cards in and print out photos (kinda like you can at Kinko's here in the US). I asked my fiancée and she didn't know. Anyone know?
Thanks.

Woohoo! Finally! Congrats Aaiz!

My fiancée payed the visa fee, but they validated a blank ds-157 instead of the complete one she brought. I am just double checking to make sure that its ok to submit the validated blank one with the 2 filled out ones.
Thanks.

My Fiancée called today. I kept forgetting to remind her, or sometimes she didn't have enough load (I would have called but all attempts I made they couldn't understand me or hung up on me). Well they told her they already sent it to NSO March 31. So things are looking good here

The embassy does not pick for you. The new procedure is you call the call center and pick the date. No mater how early you pay document verification USE can still mess it up.

woohoo! Congrats Vanessa!

Pls.. i need some infos..
Help me... ASAP
It will cost $18 US to call and schedule the interview. The fee will allow three calls and some people have called more often than that with the same pin.
I've called about 6 times with the same pin.

So I called their office in the Philippines. They told me I should call a travel agent to get the best prices and they referred me to one in Manila. I called them and booked a flight for her and all she has to do is go to their office and pay for it before April 16. Saved me about $50 too.

Leaving for the Philippines in a week! So excited.

No, only get a blank validated form if they wont validate your completed forms.
