I wish my wife understood, but whatever. For her, she is nice and comfortably adjusted back to her old life in Miami (she has been back living there 2.5 years already!), while I am just waiting here wondering when will be the day when I can finally rejoin her and start my new life. I feel awful about it.

It's hard not to obsess about it since it feels like you are trapped and can't go anywhere. My husband and I feel distraught from this process and the only way we cope with this is just not to think about it too much and keep ourselves busy.

We can only do what is requested but ultimately, the decision making is in their hands. The inefficiency of this process really gets to me though.

na not obsessive. Its pretty much putting your life on hold and the reason that its happening is almost unjustifiable. All our files have been thoroughly vetted, this new process that was created just makes no sense.

Exactly. It feels like life has been on a standstill for two years even when all documents are proper and other applications have given you a green light to proceed. The waiting game of of AP impacts you mentally.

It'll probably be very soon for you since we got the same message from the consulate

    Congratulations!

I hope so! They acknowledge receipt our Medical report on Jan 24th and updated the CEAC date on Feb 4th.

They did say they were "looking into" the the case on Feb. 24th. So, I hope we hear something this coming week.

If not, then we will reach out to a congresswoman for help :)

I believe that's one of their generic responses, esp if you got it from OP03.

Their response to each of my inquiries (up until last week) was "Your case is pending to be reviewed by a consular officer" aka it still hadn't been touched since my medical was received. I think yours is a lot more of a positive response since it's being handled by someone.

Thankfully it changed to "we are looking into your case" this week.

My husband and I emailed them. I got the "we are looking into your case" and my husband got the "Your case is pending to be reviewed by a consular officer." Literally confused at this point. 6 weeks since I gave in my update medical and nothing yet.

Just looking for a bit of an idea from other who may have similar situations..
I had an approved K1 with Montreal and was denied at the embassy and filed a I-212 waiver.
Recently, the waiver has been approved and forwarded to the Embassy to readjust the K1.
The embassy had only requested my passport since all my documents from k1 were still valid and up to date.

I am in Administrative processing, which I did expect but I do not know for how long. I know no one does and can predict but has any one had experience with the Montreal consulate.
My case as the k1 did update with different status' and change from immigrant to non-immigrant as well.

Did you hear anything from the embassy? Are you still in administrative processing?
