Sheng, yes its very hard waiting this long, and with travel ban even harder. If I do not hear from Immigration by Janurary, I may just marry fiance in Phillipines when travel ban is lifted and start CR1 marriage visa. They can not deny that because of something that happened 20 to 30 years ago!

How about DUI? Will go to vermont too?
Sorry guys, I meant I may have to go K2 visa route if I dont get any answers after waiting 2 years.

Yeah that makes sense. In hindsight do you think it would have made more sense to get married first and then apply for a CR1 visa? It sounds like the odds are not in my favor and I will probably have to go that route anyway.

I will wait till January and if K1 Visa answer at 24 months still hasn't come, I think I will go to Phillipines ( if travel ban is lifted) marry her there and start CR1 visa instead. I mean 2 years to wait for an answer is crazy. I was married for 26 years (my wife passed 3 years ago due to illness). I just want to be with the person that I love!

A felony from 31 years ago yes.

Its been 18 months since my K1 pettion was received. It is clearly outside if normal processing times for Vermont Center. I have asked fir update, and only answer is pending security check. I read this can take several months or even years? Has anyone ever heard of this?

No does not fall under Adam Walsh Act.

Thank you Duke and Marie. So you think I should wait and see how the K1 goes first? I just dont want to wait 22 months to be denied and then start a CR1 and go through 2 more year process.
No I haven t tried that.Ill try.

Any ideas on that topic would be super appreciated!

Yes my case was transferred to Vermont on October 22, 2020. My petition was received March 13, 2020. Could I really be looking at 2 years from now. If that is the case. I would be better off marrying in the Phillipiness and then apply for marriage visa, which wont be denied for a criminal offense that happened 30 years ago!

The processing time is somewhat confusing it says 22 + months for anything received from 2018 my case wasn't received until October of 2020 does that mean I have a 22 month timeline that starts there?

And then it least being married I would have better travelling privileges. Finances have none at all to the Philippines.
