  1. I’m having an issue with the medical appointment. I scheduled my wife’s medical through the website on Jun 23. As of this post, the appointment has not been confirmed. When I called to ask why, they said it is because my wife’s case had been transferred from ABD to ANK and the doctor needs to confirm with the embassy before they can schedule the appointment. They said it should take a week, but it haven’t heard anything. Her appointment is schedule for July 24, and the interview is on July 31. Has anyone ever had this issue before?
  2. Thank you very much. We’ll make sure to get her records
  3. https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/pdf/Vaccine-Requirements-According-to-Applicant-Age-panel-physicians-p.pdf I was looking at this chart, and it shows which vaccines are required for people of different ages. My wife falls into the 18-64 age range. She had some shots when she was a kid, and she also had the covid shots. We are trying to get a new vaccine card. They list 13 vaccines, but then they also say that you only need vaccines that are age appropriate. I’m worried she might have to get 13 shots and that would delay the interview. I can’t see a doctor giving anyone 13 shots in one day.
  4. Her case was DQ on April 8, 2022. She received the IL on May 16, 2023.
  5. Hi everyone, My wife has her IR1 interview at the US Embassy in Ankara, Turkey on July 31. She is from Iran. Can anyone tell me exactly what vaccines are required? I know the vaccines are age specific, but I'm not exactly sure which ones. Also, if she is missing any vaccines, can she get them at the medical checkup before the interview?
  6. Iran does not have a US Embassy, so they let Iranians interview in one of three embassies: Ankara, Abu Dhabi, and Yerevan. Permanent residency is not required for Iranians, because those are the only places they can have a interview.
  7. Unfortunately not. There are few people on VJ who go through Ankara, and even fewer that are from Iran.
  8. I have. Unfortunately they just give me a generic "covid" and "NVC will work with US Embassy to schedule a interview" response.
  9. I actually changed the interview location from Abu Dhabi to Ankara. It's easier for my wife and I to go to Turkey than Abu Dhabi. In hindsight, that may not have been the best best move. However, because my wife is Iranian, the process was always going to be harder for us even if we stayed at Abu Dhabi. Also, people keep transferring cases from Ankara to Abu Dhabi and Yerevan, which is adding to the backlog at those embassies.
  10. Yep. The process has taken so long that we went from CR1 to IR1.
  11. Yep, its been a year. I was hoping it would be over by now. I've heard they are giving Turkish citizens priority too. I'm not sure why they are doing that. I appreciate you posting the link! There is so little information about the US Embassy in Ankara on VJ. I know it's because there aren't many people going through there on the forum
  12. My wife has been DQ Since April 8, 2022, and no interview yet. She is in Iran. I am USC
  13. I'm a USC (born and raised) who applied for my wife (Iran). DQ April 2022. No luck yet 😕 Which blog did you read that on?
