I went thru EXACTLY the same scenario. The ONLY way to trace your pending application, to know the exact reasons why it was sent to USCIS, and to get application to be moving is- get your congressperson to be involved. Within a week petitioner would know the answers to all this questions. When I (petitioner) approached my Congressperson’s officer and filed the inquiry status thru them, it took them only a week to find out where my case is sitting and why and then all of sudden it started working ….However, I totally agree with Crazy Cat that there must be some complications in your pending application which makes US Embassy to have sent it to USCIS. In my case there were many red-flags, and case sent back to USCIS to investigate those matters thru their field office’s fraud department. If you wanna avoid all this then you may choose to file CR-1 case but no guarantee it will not cause the same result. I had IR-1 case. I chose to deal with those issues than just moving on…..Besides, I couldn’t have filed any other case anyway because the case was for IR-1 visa. Again, there were many-many red-flags in my case.
please please. can someone tell me the process from your experience in haiti once you recieve the letter from embasy to move forward and status says ready.
We was approved march 27 2020. I called and emailed and got his case number saying he again was approved. As of jan 12 they will not process his papers until haitian embasy opens routine services. Trust we started this in 2019. We are also irritated.
