What ban was lifted? I'm a US citizen and according to the US embassy in Buenos Aires Website I can't go there.
There was a ban for Family-based categories of LPR relatives.
Why can't you go to the embassy? 🤔

Hi!
So the physician appointment was $5000 and then the lab tests and x-rays are about 15,000 or so. You basically spend about 20,000. The experience was fine. It's mostly paperwork. Take all the vaccination records you have if you can, takes about an hour, hour and a half. The lab you do somewhere else, and it goes pretty fast. They send everything digitally to the embassy.
Our Experience: We had our interview on Monday and everything worked out. Some tips:
Be very organized with all paperwork including, but not limited to: original birth certificates, marriage cert, translations in place, police background check with art.51 exclusion and translation, evidence of relationship, 1040 and supporting financial documents, DS-260 confirmation and print out I-864 just in case. Make sure you take all passports ever had and the 5cm x 5 cm photos they ask for (to be safe 4 of them). They'll take your fingerprints, ask questions as to relationship and usually will make a decision before you leave. You can expect to get your passport with approval stamp, etc. within 2 weeks via courier if you get approved. That's all I know and what our experience was. Good Luck to all in this process, I know it's a lot, but it will be worth it once you get there
Thank you so much! And congratulations on the visa

We got the interview email today!!! The date they gave us is March 18, so tomorrow we’ll get in touch with the approved physician to see him/her as soon as possible and get that part rolling.
Have you heard anything yet?
Hello, I would like to know your experience with the physician and how much did everything cost?
TIA

Anyone here received any updates about interviews? Since proclamations 10040 and 10052 are revoked, I believe they're gonna start sending interview letters anytime soon. The embassy here in Dominican Republic finally opened 2 days ago but with limited capacity.
I read they started rescheduling interviews that were cancelled due to PP 10014.
I'm also waiting for my interview, but got DQ January 7th, so i guess I have a long wait ahead

The ban is lifted! Finally!
Any of you have any idea how long will it take to get an interview for F2A category?

For us it’s an IR1. We were DQ’d January 15th and received the interview email today for mid-March.
I have several friends who have appointments for tourist visas in March (not for emergency reasons), so it seems like they might be planning to getting a little closer to “normal” starting next month.
That's amazing, congratulations! Please share your experience at embassy after your interview. Best of luck!
Hopefully they will get back to normal soon, I just have to wait

Hello everyone, I just wanted to make a thread for people waiting to get an interview in the consulate in Argentina no matter their category. So as to know how long is the backlog here.
I'm F2A, and I just got DQ 7th January. First have to wait for the ban to be lifted
