From my understanding, Montreal is the one who decides whether a case is interviewed, not NVC. From expedited request perspective, it is also Montreal that decides whether a case can be expedited or not. NVC has no power to expedite a case.
Montreal is the one who notifies NVC for their available spots for the interview the NVC schedules the interviews and it should be based on the first in first out but it seems its not.
I dont know about the expedited process.

Is there any way to ask to have a tier 2 officer or higher from the NVC call you to confirm this? I would be very upset if they told me it was scheduled and then that it wasn't.
I dont know, the only way that I know is inquiry. even they dont reply to the regular mail.

In a previous thread someone had provided a letter template to send to Montreal when the Biden administration had stopped the visa processing priority order(November 19, 2021 https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/visa-services-operating-status-update.html) and they were still focusing on IR/CR. Does anyone have a link to that format? I guess its time to blast their inboxes with emails to remind them to process EB. Especially folks who have been DQ from Sep 2020 to Feb 2021. Although I am way back in the queue I will send the email too. Its high time they need to start focusing on EB too.
I checked with Montreal about my case they said they will send their spots to NVC monthly and they don’t know what’s happening in there.
on the other hand nvc one time told me my case was scheduled for an interview but now they are saying it’s not and I have to wait -
Is there anyone from what’s app group available here? If not we can create a new one.

@farzadyThanks! I submitted inquiry on 29th November but no response yet. Per Montreal consulate website, My DQ date (28th October 2020) fall under current EB processing window.
Other than that reply from nvc I don’t have anything. Just wait and see if any ILs sent out tonight…

Will the IL likely be for Jan 2023? Just trying to make a decision on whether we should AOS or continue to wait for CP in hopes that they will clear it...
Not sure, probably after 27 plus months of waiting

@farzady May I know what date did you submit your inquiry with NVC?
Right now, they are fast in reply.
I submitted my inquiry on Nov 30.

Thanks for the update. I hope it wont take too much time.

Keep in mind these data are incorrect, in here we have 3 people dqd in September and still waiting.
-
@LZG Please update us about your interview.

I’ve received same template response to just wait and they can’t provide anything from nvc after my second follow up request about my case

Sorry my bad. You should reach out then.
I did again today, but it will take a month to get reply back and it’s just a template response.
anyone has any ideas how to contact nvc other than email? -

No idea whats happening. May be health Care workers for EB dqd on that time frame or later got IL. This is just not fair just prioritizing health care workers over others. It is so crazy. Since you are dqd in OCT 2020 and given the status provided, you could try emailimg and checking with NVC one
Mine dqd is September

Status Update this morning
"As of November 3, 2022, most Immediate Relative and fiancé(e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in August 2022; most Family Preference cases with visa numbers available that are being scheduled for interview were documentarily qualified in May 2022; and most Employment cases scheduled for interview were documentarily complete in October 2020."
But noone from this forum have received IL so far.
What’s happening in there? They are not connected. Is there any updates from other guys who’s dqed in September or October?
