Good News.  After 8 months our NVC stats changed from AT NVC to READY.   Honestly, sometimes I didn't think it would ever happen.  I am excited that we are a little closer now.  I am praying that the Embassy starts scheduling interviews soon.

Good luck to all those still waiting for this step to happen.

Just received my NOA2, and getting ready to join the giant queue of files waiting at NVC. This whole process is an exercise in delayed gratification. I may become a Zen Buddhist by the end of it.

Wow has it been a long time but the NVC has finally mailed my case to the Montreal U.S. Embassy on Wednesday, Feb 2 and I received my NOA2 in mid-May of 2020. I doubt the U.S. Embassy will be processing it since they're still doing only "Emergency Services" but hopefully this helps out some other people here. I've seen some other timelines similar to mine and some couples had their cases mailed +/- 1 day from me too.

I had to call to get the number. You won’t be able to do much with it, but you can check the case status with the case number. Make sure you get the invoice number as well as you’ll need it later. It should say “At NVC” and then move to “In Transit” when it finally gets sent to the embassy, then you can expect it to be ready to schedule an interview a few weeks after that.

At this junction, I'd wait a little longer. USEM is not processing K-1 so there is no reason to tie up the phone lines just to get your number to complete the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application which can be completed at any time.

In the meantime, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of the conversation. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will better prepare you for your interview.
