  1. You will pass a drug test. However, if you answer "Yes" that you have used in your lifetime, then you will not pass. I would have to argue your statement, "I'm sure most people have used drugs at some point of their life". Although, a percentage of people have used at some point of their lives, don't assume that is okay just because you have in the past. And it will probably be legal one day in the U.S. So, it is up to you how you answer the questions in regards to previous drug use.

Can you please fill in your timeline?

Also which embassy are you with because you have posted this question many times. Best to just post in your area for best answers.

  2. And I am 99% sure you will never get any info out of the NSO when and if your docs have been verified. The other 1%, is for a person that has a friend that works in the NSO. I tried everything to get info out of them, and I don't take "No" for an answer and was very adamant with the folks over at NSO. The problem is that there are too many people calling looking for info, so they shut down the info highway.

So, just pray for the best and expect the worst, and you will never be disappointed.

    Good luck to you.

  3. Hello to my fellow VJer's. Well, tomorrow I will be headed to San Francisco airport to travel to Manila. I just called the USEM trying to get more info about this NSO doc verification, but still no luck. It must be some kind of National Security secret. I might have better luck finding Osama Bin Laden, than getting info from the NSO on my case. I am putting the rest into God's hands to see what happens this Friday, the 28th when we have our interview. I can't wait to have the full interview experience. I have read so many other interview experiences and it sounds boring, but fun as I easily amused at odd sequences of events that occur around and the USEM sounds like it will be an action packed adventure. I plan to bring a small notepad so I can recap all the proceedings. I hope it is worth more than the price of admission. I will be more than happy to post my experience (mostly because when I do, it means the interview is over). I especially want to see if the guard makes me drink from the bottle of water I bring into the embassy. [just another occurrence that will entertain me]

I just want to take a moment to encourage all those still waiting for everything to happen. Whether you are at the beginning stages or near the end, never give up on the system. Our case has taken 6 months and 4 days from the day I mailed the packet out. I suppose this is a short wait compared to others. I am a California Firefighter and have been in a few near death experiences (actually, not in my eyes because the job is what I was meant to do in life and I am doing my part to ensure the safety of the people I protect) so I feel that I am a strong individual, but the waiting period of checking the USCIS website became very frustrating. No news on Friday made for a long weekend until I could check again on Monday. Looking at other timelines and wondering how long it will it can be even more exasperating. The funny thing was that Rose, my fiancée, discovered that we were approved before me. So, I didn’t even get a chance for the escalation of finally seeing a change on the USCIS website. When I least suspected it, there it was. Never give up, keep praying for good news, and know that one day this long wait is just a test of the love you have for your significant other.

The Visa Journey website and the people on here has been the single most important influence to our success on our personal journey. Follow the guides and ask questions. You will find more information on here than any lawyer could ever offer. Good luck to all. I hope all have success like Rose and I have had. It is a great feeling to be near the end.

  4. I tried to call NSO, they have their employees trained not to give out any information. When I ask for Hufana the Director, no dice, they say she is either not in the office or at a meeting. They never can answer when she will return. When I ask for the second in command, they claim there is no other supervisor. It sounds like there is alot of calls to NSO looking for the same answers as I, so they are giving standard answers. At this point, I will have to bite the bullet and leave our faith in Gods' hands and hope for the best.

I am sorry to report, I have failed to crack the NSO system.

I hope someone else can get this resolved in the future so other people in the future do not have to go through this.

  5. I have 2 jobs as well, but my other one is just a side gig when I work on an ambulance separate from my fire engine job.

I was thinking of listing both, but my fireman job pays way over the poverty guideline, so I only listed that.

My W-2's and ITR show how much I make for the other job, so I figure if someone really wants it, they can figure it out.

I would suggest only to put your main job as long as it alone will put you over the poverty line.

If not, just write both jobs and if it is questioned at interview, you can back it up with the ITR, since you are self-employed and wouldn't have a W-2.

I'm actually wondering how you are going to get Aaiz the 134 since the interview is tomorrow, unless George traveled to Manila. Good luck to you both at the interview. I'm leaving tomorrow.

  6. I suppose I am a little confused at your questions and unable to help because K3 must be completely different than K1. I didn't know there were 2 packets (actually, first I heard of it) and I never heard of someone not getting an actual date for the interview.

Appointment date: 7 am any working day. {Sounds like there would be mass chaos at the USEM} Can't wait to watch on youtube.

Hope you can figure it out.

  7. If you wanna take the chance just to save 650php, then that's on you. Don't come crying on here if you don't pay and something happens.

To answer your question, yes you have to pay. It seems that a few have slipped through the red tape and didn't, but I would not recomend for anyone else. This is the cheapest fee in the process.

    Good luck at the interview.

  8. I don't know what happend, but now when I go to read a post, I have to click on the replies to read them. Very time consuming and frustrating.

    I don't think I changed the settings.

Does someone know how to switch it back so all the replies are shown and not links to read them?

Thanks for your help unless VJ swtiched it over to save server space (which is what I am guessing happend), then we mutiny.

  9. The taxi cabs, jeepney, tricyles, and buses are always an action packed adventure. No ride ever the same twice. I figured out to get the price before I get in to the cab and even pay them that amount what they will enroute to the destination, so he/she (I never encountered a female driver, but I'm sure they exist) cant change his/her mind about the transaction or if they get lost, that's on them.

All the rides are better than any roller coaster you will find in the U.S. plus they are much longer with no restraints [Living on the edge]

As a firefighter, I would expect to see much more traffic collisions, but I can't remember seeing any, kinda strange.

  10. I would call Delbros and ask them or the embassy (if you can get through). I would think they would charge for each person because it is more revenue. Plus, I don't see or hear of anyone getting a discount when it comes to paying fees. You never know. Things have changed recently with doc verification, so if someone has info on their specific case before last year, things may have changed with the rules. Just an angle to think about.

  11. Hello,

I am new and start with a question. (I tried to find an answer using the search before)...

My fiance and I are not sure how to interpret the instructions for the I-134. "A separate affidavit must be submitted for each person." I have a son, who is listed on the affidavit (3.) as accompanying child. Does a separate affidavit of support need to be executed for him as well or not?

 (I allow myself to post here since my fiance filed his petition in September)

    Thanks a lot!

You only need to fill one I-134 out for the USC petitioner. If you have a co-sponsor, then they need to fill one out as well. The beneficiary or any children do not need to fill one out.

  12. People for years have been trying to crack the system of CSC. Many have attempted, even more have failed. Good theories, hypothesis, and guesses have been formed, but not proven with concrete evidence.

So with that being said, you all can keep trying to break the system or move on to something better to spend your time.

I tired and failed, and that is time I will never get back in my life.

  13. Hello, how did you know the DHL number and what is cenomar? Our NVC number is NML2008550xxx, which is just in front of yours and haven't received anything yet. I have check the IV Schedule website (http://203.177.135.10/ivappointment/login.asp) , which said no appointment date yet.

    your info:

    2/21/2008 - NVC received - MNL 2008552XXX

2/25/2008 - Left NVC to USEM DHL 9356809626

2/27/2008 - Received hardcopy from NVC

    2/28/2008 - Received cenomar

I have been trying to contact the NSO, so I can inquire the process and if they can tell me when our papers have been sent back to USEM. I will be calling again on Sunday night and hope they are in a good mood. I will let you know what happens. If you know for sure your papers are complete, then you should be able to travel with no worries at the interview. I'm already committed to go either way.

I suppose you dont read VJ very much. Look for the interview threads. You can probably call SLEC and see if they just assigned you an interview date since you did not call on the 19th like everyone else. If nothing, then you need to call the call center and schedule an interview date. The call center number is on the USEM website. There is nothing on the IV schedule for any one lately.
