Hello - i had the interview on the same date as you in the Chicago office. Did you get approved? Did your online status change?

Mine is stuck at "interview scheudled" since November 10th :(  and just been waiting

I'm sorry to hear that. About 10 minutes after the interview my status changed to "We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review." Shortly thereafter, I got another update saying "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled." No update regarding the oath ceremony but most Chicago people seem to be getting notices around 4 weeks post interview. I hope your status changes soon. Did you get an N-652 form at the end of the interview saying you passed, or decision cannot be made, or something else?

Edit: Just saw your post above. I have seen people discuss the inability of younger/junior interviewers to approve on the spot. It sounds like your interviewer was confident you passed/will be approved. I'm sure you will be, but i'm also sure the waiting sucks right now.

Congratulations 🎊🎉🍾. My interview will be December 3. A bit nervous though.

Thanks! Good luck with your interview! I would say "don't be nervous" but of course it isn't as simple as that. I was nervous as hell. You will do great. Others have said this at length, but they aren't expecting perfection, just honesty. Hell, I'm a native english speaker and struggled to write the damn sentence with a stylus on a vertically mounted iPad. Let me know if you have any questions.

  6. Hi all,

I passed my interview this morning at the Chicago field office. My interviewing officer was very nice. I brought every document I could think of, but was only asked to provide the lease for an apartment I moved into while my application was pending. Also provided the basics like ID, green card, passport, and interview letter as well as two recent passport quality photos. We started with the civics questions, then reading/writing, and finally the yes or no questions. I had a couple of recent international trips that we updated as well.

    Civics Q&A

    1. Who is in charge of the executive branch? - President

    2. Who vetoes bills? - President

    3. Where is the statue of liberty? - New York Harbor

    4. What are two rights of everyone living in the United States? - Freedom of speech and the right to bear arms

    5. Why did the colonists fight the British? - Because they didn't have self government

    - November 10, 2021 - Interview

    - November 10, 2021 - Oath ceremony will be scheduled

I applied under the 3 year rule.
