People!!! I just talked to Pat. He got a letter with date January 10 saying that the state Department's Natiopnal Visa Center has recently received an approved...........This letter to let you know that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place.

So that means it is at NVC???? The letter has a case number...What do I do with that? How do I know if it has been sent to Lima embassy?

That means NVC got your case. Unless it was at NVC for more processing, I am guessing it is already in Peru. By the time I had got the letter from NVC it was already at the consulate.

When I found out our case had left NVC I gave it a week and then e-mailed the embassy to see if they got it. I had to use the new case number from NVC in the e-mail.

You're almost there!!!!

So should I call the embassy or email them (I doubt they will answer) and ask if they got my case by giving them the case number NVC had given me on the letter???

I already called NVC but it doesn't work from my phone, don't know why!!!

I called DOS too but they close at 5pm and on wednesday at noon.

Can beneficiaries call NVC...I forgot about that little detail....hehe

FYI Mirla, I was doing the DHL Tracking for someone else and I noticed a package from NVC on its way to Lima. It was sent on the 7th and signed for in Lima on the 9th!!! I bet you files are in there!!!!!

Call NVC and see if they can give you any info.

You could call now, I actually think they are open until midnight. I think that's accurate....

I just called now but for some reason I when I press the prompts, it seems that they don't recognize it cause it doesn't work, the machine keeps talking.....

I called using a calling card....the same thing used to happen when I called once USCIS using a calling card...I always use skype but I don't have credit now...I don't remember if when you buy credit on skpye, they charge at the moment....

The Congressman's office just called back.

They said Vermont gave them the info that our petition should be approved maybe in early March.....

That is the info the Congressman's office gave us several minutes ago....

I mean, yeah,makes perfect sense.....Vermont is too occupied with approving October petitions right now....

Pardon me????? Early March???? That would be like 8 months waiting......This is all f*cked up! :lol:

this is getting freakin ridiculous....I'm happy for their approval but OCTOBER????? Give me a break!!!!!!
