I'm wondering, the 1st notice I got after I sent my EAD was the rejection notice with this particular receipt number. I resent it and got another notice saying the received my EAD but with another receipt number and this number is also in the EAD biomtrics appt......

Any ideas? Is that ok? No? YEs?

Guys! I have a question! I got an appointment notice: Case Type I485 for biometrics. That was last wednesday. I went with my husband but he really didn't need to be there cause he just waited for me and they only wanted people who had to be processed so a few days ago we got another appointment notice: I765 FOR biometrics! AGAIN????

I had to resend my EAD cause it was rejected due to out of dated. Now I realize that in the notice EAD notice they sent has a different case number than from the REJECTION NOTICE they sent me....is that ok?

Is it ok to have two biometrics appointment? One form I485 and another one for I765?????

Hope somebody can help me out!

How come i cannot check the status of my case on www.uscis.gov it says that the case number is incorrect.

It starts with MSC. And on the appointment letter it says service center MSC....????? Where is that???? Missouri??? We live in NY....

Hello everyone! I would be an August filer too :-) I sent my paperwork on August 1st and I'm very surprised I got my biometrics appointment for tomorrow at 8am....! Hope we all can have a speedy process...I remember the K1 was just a pain in the butt!

Well guys, I did a walk-in for my Biometrics. I went to my local office, walked in and asked if they could do it. Since there weren't many people they took me in. Took only about 20 minutes, my hands tend to sweat alot so they had to re-do them a couple of times. Took my picture and told me to expect my Work Permit in the next 30 to 60 days.

I was scheduled for next week! hehe

On the form I just downloaded from USCIS the exp. date is the same 08/31/08 but the date at the bottom right is different. It is this one: FORM I-765 (Rev. 05/27/08)

Would that be the latest one? It was on the last link I sent you...

Hey guys! Hope somebody can help me out with this one.

I sent my EAD together with all the AOS paperwork and they sent me in the mail 3 notices.

One is the I-485 - Notice Type: Receipt NOtice Amount received 1,010.00

The second one is I-131 Receipt Notice. Amount received 0.00 (no fee)

The third one is I-765 EAD NOTICE TYPE: REJECTION NOTICE.

It says that The application/petition was filed on an outdated version of this form. Please resubmit your application/petition oon the current version of this form with the appropriate fees to the address listed on the bottom of this notice.

I downloaded the form from here. At the top right on the form that was returned to us, there is a date saying OMB No. 1615-0040, Expires 08/31/08 and the the bottom right there is another date: FORM I-765 (Rev. 04/08/08) N.

The one I just downloaded from USCIS.gov. says the same thing as the other one I submitted on the top right but on the top left, there is another date which is FORM I-765 (Rev. 05/27/08) N.

Is that the one I'm supposed to resend? And another question, the are asking me to resubmit the current version of this form with the appropriate fee.....but I already sent the $1,010.00......Should I tell them that the full amount was already sent????

Are those the only three NOTICE OF ACTIONS I'm supposed to get from them? Is there any NOA for the Biographics form?

Yeah! They gave me a hard time too...with the last names issues. Anyways, I got the permit but can't do anything anymore cause it says temporary visitor even though there is another expiration date at the bottom that is on 2012.

I read somewhere in VJ that when you file for AOS and you get your NOA1, you can go to the DMV, show them you are in a process and they can issue you the DL.....is that true???

Somebody adviced me to go to the Social security to so I went and couldn't change my last name with my marriage certificate because my I-94 was expired by 3 days. This was last monday. This person told me to call immigration and to get an extension on my I-94 but I now for a fact that none K1's are allowed to get an extention....now I don't know what to do....

Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS?

If that means the Social Security Card....I only remember I went to the Social Security Office in Reno, NV.

After question 11 I need to complete Which USCIS office, Results (Granted or denied - attach docs.)

Hello everybody! We are getting ready to file for AOS!

I have a question and I want to apologize in case of making a silly question but I just don't want to make any mistakes...

I already have a social security number that I got on 2004 when I did an internship through my college and below the number says VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION (It also has my first name and my last name before I was married obviously) question 9 on I-765 says Social Security Number, where I'm putting the number I have...but at the very beginning of the application says I'm applying for:

Permission to accept employment

Replacement (of lost EAD)

Renewal of my permission to accept employment (attach previous employment authorization document)

IS the employment authorization doc the SSC?? If it is, which of those three am I suppose to CHECK?

Also on question 1 am I suppose to write my married last name or my last name???
