On a scale of 0-100, how stressful is the job of an RN? As much I like the "glamor" of my wife to have title of RN, I really don't want her all stressed out working the midnight to noon shift at the hospital, and then come home to me looking like this .
Peace.
Works nights (7p-7a) at telemetry medsurg....i find it stressful that's why im working on getting my license in physical therapy so i can go prn for nursing and full time with PT! However, everyone's different your wife might love nursing

Seattle2Cebu certainly had issues.
Here is his story in a nutshell...(scroll down to Post #84).
Oh wow!!!! Seattle2Cebu once emailed me and asked for some money too. He got my email since at one point i met
his fiancee and when we were in Manila for the interview he talked to me if i can lend his fiancee some money while in Manila. He stated that at that time his fiancee "squandered" the money alloted for the trip however, when i talked to the fiancee she denied everything and that she has some money!
I think he really has some problems specially after knowing what happened to his fiancee when she got here...

Hello good people of visajourney As i was reading the posts about the time to apply for naturalization...i have now become confused. Here's my situation. My 2 yr LPR card was good only last May 2011 so we are now in the process of doing our Removal of Conditions (filed it at VSC and the rate it's going i don't expect the 10 yr LPR till late this yr.) I have been married to the same USC since 2008. So when can i file for naturalization? Pls somebody help me so i can prepare the money.

Jkelly07 thanks so much for the reply...i'll surely do that tomorrow. Thank you again.

Hi we filed for removal of conditions last April and sent it to VSC. I sent 675$ which include
biometrics for my son. However, when i received the NOA extending our stay for another year, I noticed that
my son's name is not on it. We are planning to go on a vacation sometime next month and how will i prove
that the NOA is also valid for my son? Should I call USCIS about this? Pls. help. Inputs is badly needed.
Thanks

Hello everyone. Happy New Year.
My husband and i are planning to go on a cruise either in the Carribean or Mexico.
We (me and son) already have our green cards however my PHils. passport still bears
my maiden name.
Do i need to ammend my passport? Or will the green card, passport (still with my
maiden name on it) and a copy of marriage certificate will suffice?
Im sorry if i posted this on a wrong forum but i really don't know which is
the best forum for this topic.

Thank you so much for all who replied and gave us an insight on what to do.
I have contacted Civil Surgeon nearest us and he charges about 175$ each
for me and my son
Yes, uscis were so slow! We filed it July 2008 and it was only now that we
heard from them and this is what we got...RFE! (Just venting!)
More power to all.

Hello good people of visajourney! Greetings!
We filed for AOS sometime last July 2008. Today we got a communication from
USCIS (something we don't like to get!) requesting us for Form I-693.
Now my question is...Will i have to undergo the physical exam (and consequently
have to pay more to the civil surgeon)? I am confused since in I-693 form it was
stated that a K1 will not be required to have physical exam as long as the AOS is
filed within one year from the overseas medical exam. Technically, we filed within
a year of my physical exam but now because of the RFE, it's been a year. (i had my
physical exam last Feb 08)
Please, Help me! I don't know what to do.

hi alienlovechild...im sure you will pass...no doubt about it. I don't even how i did it!
Just take your time. I had to take a lot of deep breaths since i felt that my heart was
racing while i was sitting to take the test...and i wanted to relax. Last night i couldn't
sleep thinking how i did it...asking myself if this is for real! I was totally convinced
i didn't make it but i guess, sometimes, we just have to have trust in ourselves.
We almost do better than what we think!
Goodluck and if there's anything i can be of help...i have lots of cd's..just email me.

Go future RN's!!!
I just got my results for my NCLEX-RN like 2 hrs ago and I PASSED!!!
I'm still trembling...im so happy! I took the exam last Friday (jan 16 here in Indiana)
and i was convinced that i failed it. I was already gearing up for the next exam like
yesterday i started reading Saunder's again!
The exam stopped at 79 questions. I had one computation (to which i gave the
wrong answer since i didn't want to dwell so much on something i didn't know
how to calculate), 3-4 SATA (select all that apply) and 1 drag and drop type
question (it was a procedure that i didn't know of). I honestly thought that
I was guessing most of my answers...which lead me to the conclusion that
i really flunk it!
But i passed!!! So to all those who are going to take it...
HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF! YOU WILL MAKE IT!
Goodluck to all of you and im sure you all will make it!

No touches or anything with regard to the AOS
BUT im happy...so so happy since i just found out i passed my NCLEX-RN!!!
That's enough reason for me to dance right now!!!
I'm sure we'll hear from USCIS soon...i really hope!

Im getting paranoid...since our case has been transferred to CSC (sometime Augusut),
there has been no "touches" or changes.
Are we in for a long haul? Or is this still a normal "timeline"?
-
Yes, it's true...sadly.
I find life here very difficult...im going through a lot of adjustments. It's not easy
starting over...in everything...job...having to gain experience, having to build
a credit history (that is if one can find a credit card that will approve you), saving
for a car, the weather, having to make friends, learning one's way around and
reading the map...
It's difficult.

hi! Just to add to those who replied...well, i too filed for annullment
sometime in 2005 in Cebu City and in about 8 mths got what we prayed for...the
annullment and the sole custody of my son. I guess i am the only
one here who paid the least...all in all it cost me about 25T. I once
worked at the court so i got a good deal from my lawyer.

hi...we recently filed for AOS too and just like you i have a son.
What we did, we made two separate bank drafts for my petition
and for my son (1,010.00 and 600.00 respectively), hoping this
will not confuse the USCIS. I guess, we succeeded.
Good luck and hope everything will be remedied.

Yup you do need it...my husband "lost" it too and we requested for another copy
which cost 340$ and then just the day after we mailed the postal money order
he found it in our garage!!! There was no way for us to cancel the money order
so we now have 2 noa2's.
goodluck!

Hello...how much is the fee for the applicant for the removal of conditions?
Will the dependents have to pay another fee?
Thank you all so much for all the replies.

Hi...
My husband and i are kind of worried about me missing the biometrics appointment.
This coming Tuesday im leaving for Florida to visit my mom and as we went through
the timelines of the other vjer's who filed almost the same time we did they are
already getting their biometrics appointment around August 10-15 (within that range).
I won't be back till August 16th
We are really confused as what to do?
1) Should we write the USCIS and ask for a re-scheduling (even though we haven't
actually gotten the letter?)
2) Should we go to the ASC nearest us and tell them about our dilemma?
3) Should we wait for the Biometric appointment before we do anything?
4) Is it possible for me to get my biometrics in Florida if re-schedulling it
means delays?
Please...please help us.
Thank you and more power!
