  1. What other good evidences do they accept? We have couple of vehicles with both names. We don't have mortgage yet but we have our joint apartment lease. we are starting a business together this year within the next couple of months.
  2. Really? I thought both of you not filing jointly especially for the first year of being married is something Immigration officers frown upon 🤔
  3. In my case, filing jointly will make my refund $3,000 less but separately was higher but since he is still conditional resident, have no choice than to file jointly
  4. Sorry for the late response. We went to court and we were granted full custody. I didn't fill adoption papers or anything related.
  5. I explained in my post when they got approved for conditional and was just asking ahead about removal for our child.
  6. He just had his 485 approved which I believe is on the timeliness. I751 is in 2 years
  7. Thank you so much for your time and feedback. I will be reading up on the thread you shared and the requirements on adoption for my state of residency again.
  8. You were right with your assumption. She came with K2. It was a typo
  9. He entered on K1 and she came in with k2 same day.
  10. Sorry I meant K2. Typographical error on my side. I filed a K1 and K2 for both of them. They both have conditional pr granted to them this year. She just got hers last month. He got his in February.
  11. No. We just filed full custody with the court and was granted. I checked the adoption route prior to that but the legal fees were too much... just as the filing of their petitions which I solely eventually did myself.
  12. Yes. Sorry I meant K2. Typographical error on my side. I filed a K1 and K2 for both of them. They both have conditional pr granted to them this year. She just got hers last month. He got his in February.
  13. She is forever my child regardless. We have both been in each other's lives for 5 years now.
  14. Sorry I meant K2. Typographical error on my side. I filed a K1 and K2 for both of them. They both have conditional pr granted to them this year. She just got hers last month. 15. So they purposely made the 90 days lapse. 120 days gap
  16. Thank you for your help Cos I am thinking the parent can file for her citizenship instead of filing removal. But hey I don't know the rules of USCIS. Thank you
  17. They got their K visas same day and traveled here same day. We filed adjustment of status for both of them same time. They got separated because of issues with card payments. Has got accepted last July. Hubby in September and he got his conditional this year February and after I wrote to the field office about why hers was still pending. She got approved for her conditional last month. So that's like 4 months after spouse got his conditional. So both of us were talking about if our child would need to file for removal for 10 years or he can just file citizenship for her directly? Or if I can file for her myself cos the court has awarded my spouse and I full custody.
  18. Please experts, I have a quick question, does a k3 child who have the 2 year residency permit need to file for removal or the parent when he becomes a citizen a year after can file for her citizenship? Thanks.
  19. Just wanted to take a moment to update my timeliness and inform my VisaJourney family that we got approved for our adjustment of status. Though we filed for EAD along with it...we never got any but glad this approval has taken care of the need for the EAD. Thank you all for your support on this journey.
  20. Hello everyone, Please am a bit confused about my status this year. I filed K1 for my now spouse. His AOS is still pending and he didn't work here since he got here last April. My question now is, what status will my 2022 filing status be? I have always filed as Head of Household before getting married last year. Thanks.
  21. Please anyone have an experience with aos interview for a beneficiary with a child? My spouse arrived with our child on k1 and k2. We filed for AOS in same packet but they eventually got separated when the credit card got declined. We fixed the payment issue, child's packet was treated first and we got both notices separately. Biometrics was scheduled separately but both went on child's date cos it was closest. Fast forward to today, we received interview notification for my husband and our child's case is still "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" My question is, do they schedule children under 10 years old for interviews or they automatically approve their cases when parents get approved? We are contemplating if we should take her along for my spouse, her father's interview if they interview children too ? Thank you 😊
