  1. Hello guys .My N400 was filed July 2020 Baltimore and still waiting for an interview.. kinda ridiculous because since March it’s in queue for an interview. Now my case is outside normal processing time and when I made an inquiry, they basically told me the same thing; “your case is in que for an interview. Your interview will be scheduled when slots becomes available”. 3 times in 10 months I was told this .My question is there are applicants who filed in 2021 in my jurisdiction and some of their cases were completed based on forums. Does anyone know what else can I do besides patiently waiting?

Ugh it's so infuriating reading the thread for people who applied the same time as me. They're all getting their approvals and i'm here stuck on the finger prints.

I feel for you. Matter of fact I currently feel that way in regards to my citizenship. a few forum I read where they filed for citizenship in July 2020 and already got approved. Where some of us are Still waiting.

I would try calling 2wice a month to ask for any updates and it just might trigger an agent to look into your case.

    All the best!

Today I had my N400 interview. As expected I was quite nervous but it went well.

    Here's some pointers.

My interview was at 2:45 PM, and when I got to the office there was an oath ceremony scheduled to start at 3:30 IIRC. So there were a lot of people. Unlike the ASC, they make you go thru airport style security, so be prepared for that. After the checkin, I went up to the waiting room and got a ticket number and was told to take a seat. I waited about 15 minutes or so, before one of the officers called my name and escorted me to his room.

After making introductions, we sat down. He took a picture, and the fingerprints for both index fingers. I was asked to present my Greencard, passport and drivers license. Then I was placed under oath. The civics questions were asked first Which group of people were brought over and sold as slaves? Before he was president, Eisenhower was a general. Which war was he a general in ? Who vetoes the bills? Name one right for US Citizens only?

Can't remember the other 2. I passed the civics test. The reading question was "Who was George Washington"? and I was told to write on the touchscreen "Washington was the first president" Thankfully, they don't grade you on handwriting as it was tricky.

The rest of the interview was mostly yes/no questions and verification of the form. After all was done, the officer asked me to confirm my details on the screen and said that he's recommending my application for approval and I should get a notice for an oath ceremony soon.

I was escorted out of the room and that was it.

I took tax documents, my old travel itinerary, passports etc, copies of my speeding ticket paid off etc. but with the exception of my selective service registration proof, I wasn't asked to present anything.

By the time I got to my car, the case status had already been updated saying that "you are in line for oath scheduling" or something

So now on to waiting for the oath !

For what it's worth, my completion time is still January 2022, and wait time is 6 months. Those

    Congratulations 🎉

Get settled in for the long haul. They are working on August 2019 right now. On the 30 or so cases right ahead of mine I was seeing movement every week for the past few weeks. Except this week. There's still about half of them left with no decision made in this group.

Yup you’re correct, somewhere Aug 2019 they’re at with June and July filers lagging behind

Passed my interview today at phoenix office..

    process was quick :

reading , writing and 6 civics questions and the only extra discussion was my plans for the weekend and how long was my way to the center .

Reading : who lives in the White House ?

writing : the president lives in the White House .

    questions:

    1. what was the main reason for civil war?
    2. what is the first president of USA ?

    3. why did the colonists came to America?

4.Who is the current president ?
    5. what movement tried to end racial discrimination ?
    6. when is the last day to send in your income tax forms?

Now waiting for oath . They do oaths every hour in groups of 12 people.

    Congratulations 🎈🍾🎉🎊

Yes! I also got my biometric reuse notification this week. So... combo interview I guess? My local office is also in Baltimore. When is your completion time? They changed back mine from Sept to November again! 😅

My completion Estimate is for July 2021 then it went to May 2021then back to July 2021 .We’re almost there peeps!. Based on the trend I’m seeing reading forum some applicants are getting approved before the estimated closure so hopefully that will be us. and definitely it will be a combo!😀

My husband has his I-751 sitting w/ Potomac since Oct 2019. Pending N-400. We just got the notice they will reuse biometrics. So, maybe a notice is forthcoming of case transfer to local office.

When we log into MyUSCIS it says estimated completion for N-400 is Feb.

Good luck to you all! Good to see some movement.

    Yes Hopefully most likely

I just got an update last night that my I-751, filed from November 2019, is now transferred to another office. I guess Potomac can't handle the cases now and is transferring cases to other offices. I hope the new office will be faster than what I experienced in Potomac. Fingers crossed!

Do you have a pending N400? My i751 from Potomac  was transferred yesterday to. But I think it’s because I have a pending N400 and a couple days before, I had gotten a biometrics reuse. So now I’m assuming 😬 both cases are at my local office which is Baltimore. All the best!

Welp, it was fun while it lasted. My estimate is now January 2022 (11 months) and wait time is 10 months...yay ! I don't think these times are accurate (or at least that's my hope)

Wow that’s crazy... my original time was July 2021, then it went to May 2021 and then it’s back to July 2021. I have a pending i751 and received notification that my case has been transferred. (Today)

Finished my biometrics today - just a few pointers

    • No walk ins allowed (except military)

    • They make you wait and don't allow you to line up till 15 minutes prior to appointment

    • my appt notice had a code 5. The lady who took the fingerprints was very cordial and explained voluntarily that they only take the 2 fingerprints first to check if they have a matching record - if not, they would take all 10. Additionally, they took the picture and signature

All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. Now onto the next waiting game !

Right after that, my case status was "actively in review" - the wait time went down to 6 months (from 9), and the completion time is 8 months (from 10) - October 2021

Nice Pb... Baltimore is moving. I had a biometrics reuse notification earlier today
