Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics appointment letter, you can call the NCSC (their number is on your NOA1) and put in service request to the service center which you filed (CSC or VSC) to find out the status of the biometrics appointment letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.

OK we are confused about some parts
in the form I 751 part 3 additional information about you (condition resident) 1- other names used(including maiden name): ?????
well my wife never used other name before or after marriage
so should we live this part in blank or we write something like (n/a),(none)....!!!!!!

Other Names used:
Names before marriage/maiden : Marieta Manio
Marietta Manio
I used Marietta and Marieta before, so I put even with single letter difference, I think that will be of good help for background check specially I have I good standing on both names. Just a thought!

Quick question : The case number needed to check status on the USCIS website is not given with the NOA1 or am I wrong? If so, then no way for anyone to check status?
You're right. The case number is the application number that is written on the Biometrics appointment notice. You need the application number to check your status.

Update: Just had my biometrics today... my letter was dated sent June 17 but since we're out of town I got it in the mail on June 23 ...
I got lucky to be back on time before the biometrics date! Mayeth

Mine got approved July 30th.... Received GC in mail August 4th! So, that's about a 5 days after approval!

well, the VJ site is great for finding others in the same or similar schedule. the tough part about you returning to fly with her is the VISA process is not an exact science, you time it wrong, and you too could still not fly together.
My fiance kept up with folks as they went to the embassy together, and if it had been a day or two closer, could have flown with one of them.
If she can do that, then the easiet thing is for her to fly with another VJer to the US, and if not the same final destination, the same port of entry. you can get there easy.
the 18 to 20 hour flight is overwhelming to anyone so i am sympathetic to her, but a boat takes three weeks. ;-)

Wow!! I see lots of action these past couple of days for us April Filers. Hope USCIS keeps them coming..
I went to see Daniel in Oklahoma yesterday. It was a very tiring 6 hr drive and I got to spent 5 hrs with him. Came back this morning (got up at 330 am to say bye to him and left from there)
We just had to see each other, I keep getting one shock after the other. I found out on friday that I am pregnant and just haven't stopped crying since then. Just miss Daniel so much. And being totally alone doesn't help. Everybody else is so excited though. Mum is dying to come here (which would be nice, I just feel depressed all the time)
Congratulation Parul! For sure Daniel would love to be with you... specially now that you have a baby!! Wish your mom can be there soon so she can keep you company while Daniel is deployed! Be strong! You have the reason to be happy... you and Daniel are blessed!

Hi all... another update from us... last Saturday (8/2) my husband received his green card.
We thanks everyone for being supportive during this journey...Hope everyone will received their green card soon... God bless all

I got approved july 30th and now I checked the mail and I received 2 mails: the welcome letter and the GC! I'm glad there's no typo error on my name!!

As for me, I'm still waiting for my welcome letter and the GC!
But the good news, my prospect employer (the company that hold the position for me till i get the GC) called and told me to visit for salary offer! (eventhough I still don't have my GC in hand). She said since it will be soon and guaranteed that my card will arrive in 30days (based on CRIS notice) they are willing to give me the salary offer now!
Goodluck to all and hopefully USCIS gets busy... Start the week with good news!
Congratulations on your job offer! It won't take 30 days for the card to arrive, I think, anyway you can be very relieved now

My AOS got approved (July 30th) and I forwarded the CRIS email approval notice to the company I applied for (they promised they will hold the position til I get the GC). They were happy to hear the update and instruct me to call them as soon as I get the card.
As of today I still don't have my welcome letter and my GC.
The HR called me this morning and told me that they are going to give me the salary offer whenever I am free to visit. She even said because they aresure already that I will get the GC in 30 days (that's based on the CRIS email notification of card production ordered).
I'm happy that things worked out well..... the company I applied for is really interested in my service (My thinking is: They need me more than I need them! lol)! They really waited!
I wish everyone will have the same luck as i have!

hi guys! here's my trip experience last friday..my flight was at 7:45am and i was at the airport around 3:30am...there was a long line at the entrance coz when i got there they have only opened 1 entrance door. then i went through xray, i pity myself because nobody helped me put my luggages on the xray machine!
really heavy and i just had an operation so it felt like my tummy was gonna fall! lol! anyways, after xray i wet on the travel tax line and after that to the check in counter was so lucky there weren't that many people there. the girl there asked me if i had any sharp objects or commercial stuff in my luggage just say no to everything! lol! then i proceeded to the check in counter had my bags weighed. she asked me for the address where im staying here in the US and after that gave me my gate pass. it was still too early i finished everything in just 30 minutes so i went to the exit and meet my family outside i still stayed outside for like an hour and a half everything was smooth till the time i said i need to get back in everybody started to cry! lol was sad to leave everyone but my husband has been waiting for me here forever! lolanyways, my flight to narita, japan took 4 hours. was smooth. be sure to bring loose dollars with u coz if u try to pay for food at the narita airport on a $100 bill they will give ur change in yen! lol i stayed in narita for like 4 hours and flew from there to SFO for 9 hours!!! thats the longest stretch! try to stand up and walk around to help exercise ur feet..in my case i tried to sleep all the way but i couldn't. thay also show some good movies so i got intertained..
when we reached SFO my husband told me to run for the exit right away coz i dont want to be stuck in the immigration line for i still have to catch a plane to palm springs in my stop over is only 2 hours! lol! i fall in line with the new immigrants section! lol! when it was my turn i noticed the last name of the immigration officer was isidro so definitely a Filipina! lol! she told me im not supposed to be in that line! hahahahaha
but then she still processed my papers got my address so they can mail me the letter later on.she didnt asked me anything besides my address! she stamped my passport and i went to pick up my luggage run to my gate for my last flight home!i called my husband and he was on his way to palm springs airport to pick me up! gosh! was getting excited!!
my flight to Palm Springs took only a hour and damn! i finally got out of the aiport! the sun was on its peak! damn! the tempreture when i got here was 109F gosh!!!!!!
my husband was waiting for me at the baggage pick up area! gosh! all the worries went to the drain! im finally home with my husband!
thank u everyone for praying for me! im here safe and sound! and gosh! i didnt get to meet anyone during the trip! lol! but it was a really smooth one!!

sorry to hear that, I am also worried here about my green card
thanks for the sympathy....but i havent' heard yet about my green card, wish there will be no problem. my husband just made a mistake when we applied for my EAD
because he didn't listen to me 
...wish we can fix it soon.Congratulations you got your EAD card.
Things will work out for you! Just Wait for the letter and follow what you need to do... it will slow the application a bit but it doesn't matter as long as you can have EAD! Goodluck!

i know k-1 is technically a non-immigrant visa.... but if i remember it right, i think i read some posts before saying that they were able to get a "first time immigrant" discount from travel agencies.
anyway, i went to my travel agent today (Flights R Us, De La Paz Pasig City) and she said she knows that k-1 visa is granted this discount... however, PAL rejected one of their clients with k-1 visa just yesterday. She volunteered to check with other airlines but i said dont bother because i really want a direct flight via PAL.
so..... can k-1 really be granted this discount?
by the way, rates in Flights R Us are relatively cheap (i think)! If i get my online ticket directly from PAL, i need to pay $1077 (ticket + taxes). but this travel agency is giving it to me at $729. for those getting first time immigrant visa discount, it's $654.
That's a good price!!! Btw, what is your POE?

Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics appointment letter, you can call the NCSC (their number is on your NOA1) and put in service request to the service center which you filed (CSC or VSC) to find out the status of the biometrics appointment letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.
