If you don't mind me asking, what was the grounds for your expedite that finally got it approved?

Hi all, just wanted to let you know that I recently received an interview date by the NVC. My case is a little different in that it was transferred from a different embassy and has been DQ'd since October 2020. So I think that recent DQers are just around the corner for London. It's really upsetting to read that people are in such a difficult situations with their families, but sometimes all the speculation isn't especially helpful - I hope that this news gives people some optimism.

Agree with all of this. We are February DQ and it is looking increasingly likely that we will not get an interview date until restrictions relax. With the Delta variant stuff, I have little hope of this being this summer. We were really hoping to spend our 2 year anniversary together in August, now that hope is all but gone. Seems a bit counterintuitive that the President and other global leaders are traveling to the UK to meet without masks without a care in the world about the "delta" variant, but it's too dangerous to interview immediate family members who have been separated for years at this point?

Right, my point was exactly that; if London was doing a "total" shutdown on August 1 the way Moscow has (obviously very different circumstances), then IV applicants wouldn't have any indication yet since there were no appointments scheduled past August 1 anyway, as is normal in June.
 
But as the other person said, we're all stressed out over these massive delays and second guessing; best to wait and see what unfolds over the next few weeks.
