  1. I haaave absolutely no idea xD. I'm all well researched until kids are involved and then im a blank slate. Guarantee the people there know pretty well though xD glad to hear youre there! its been so helpful to me
  2. No finger prints and also it must state OTHER for what its for or whatever. And yes, long form birth certificate is right!
  3. Figured, congrats! If you're not already in it, join the k1 montreal Facebook. Canada needs a specific type of birth certificate and the police cert people often get the wrong type. Pinned are tons of guides on all the steps which will help, as every consulate has different steps.
  4. To NVC can take about a month (at least in my recent experience). So lets say your case arrived June 25th The shipping date had already passed on the 21st. Even if it arrived on the 19th, its possible it wasnt proccessed by the time the shipping date came. The next shipping date is tomorrow and Wednesday. Due to the holiday, it might be Wednesday thursday but who knows. I wouldn't consider your case stuck yet. This would likely be your first shipping week since reaching NVC. Everyone I've seen recently at the Montreal consulate was in transit the first shipping week, so following that formula its pretty likely you'll hear back this week unless things somehow slowed down again. If you look at my timeline, mine took almost a month and a half too.
  5. You can send a public inquiry but last I heard that takes 2 months. NVC doesn't seem to hold onto cases from Canada anymore, it'll go to nvc and likely ship the next shipping day so id assume this shipping day or the next you'd hear something. My timeline is Noa1: April 5th 2021 Noa2: April 7th 2022 Arrived at NVC: May 5th Case # recieved: May 11th Case in transit: May 24 Case Ready: June 6th P2: June 13th P3: June 21 Been still waiting for P4 which lets me book an interview. People who recieved it, were able to book for August 2, 4, and 9. Unfortunately despite being the first in my contacts to send p3, they all heard back with p4 and not me 😕 thanks Montreal. seems like approx 4 months from NOA2 to visa in hand in Montreal. sometimes slightly longer, sometimes slightly shorter.
  6. You are. Thats a lockbox, not a service center. you can look at this website which is very clear as to where k1 goes to process. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/all-forms/service-center-forms-processing
  7. All cases go to California service center. (And vermont for criminal case People choose texas by mistake.
  8. I don't think theres an average. Im in the k1 Facebook group and one person didnt hear back with approval until 76 days, and there's plenty people there who have been waiting over 60. Ive heard they aim for 60, but its sooo unpredictable.
  9. The uscis processing site can be a good reflection, it sometimes lags behind though. quite awhile ago I was able to make an inquiry, because the dates were behind what the actual processing time was. Im an April Applicant, that was approved in April. I was able to make an "outside of normal processing time" inquiry all the way back in January, until they finally updated it after being swarmed with inquiries. So its usually accurate; just occassionally outdated
  10. Tell them it's not Visajourney numbers; its numbers tracked from every single persons case that happens to get posted on Visajourney. Visajourney's database is member based and thats where the confusion is. Case tracker app and the spreadsheets count every single case
  11. The numbers given here aren't all from case tracker, many make their own scripts that scan the website which scans EVERY. SINGLE. CASE. Even case tracker, it scans every single case.. So if they believe its inaccurate to track every single case to get the data, I think theyre beyond help
  12. I don't know if theres an average really but im in the K1 April 2021 group and I see a few members there who have been waiting over 60 days now. A bunch past 30 as well. I heard that they aim for 60 days but it can be longer, unsure what merit is behind that though..
  13. It took my case an entire month to reach and be processed at NVC. My approval was April 7th but NVC didnt get it until May 5th, my case # was recieved on May 11th. Last I heard, theres no welcome letter for k1 applicants. I never got one, we (petitioner) only recieved an email stating our case was in transit, and I the beneficiary, got an in person letter stating my case was in transit which was May 24. I think they only reach out with your information unprompted under two circumstances 1. Your case is being held at NVC due to backlog and it has hit 60 days. 2. Your case is in transit
  14. I think it will. Though we are hitting enough for things to be maintained, I still think itll go to 14/15 months. Not neccisarily because of slowing down, but I don't think they're gonna finish May before July starts, And June before august, etc. They keep having really low days every now and again, not to mention RFE's take time. uscis please prove me wrong by doing even better
  15. Fairly certain those are k3 timelines, not k1. Don't know why it groups them lol
  16. There were some but ultimately you need to pay a good bit in general and they only benefit those who sue. There were some before the k1 had NIE and many embassys just stopped interviewing for k1 that lead to success, but it only benefitted those who could afford to pay to join the suits
  17. They're really just a gloridied secretary, helpful if youre too busy to research yourself though.
  18. You can file a public inquiry on their website somewhere, but that is taking 1-2 months You wont recieve an email from nvc unprompted until your case is in transit. So not hearing back means your case is probably still sitting at nvc.
  19. I don't know if theres a specific amount of time they aim for, I know someone who's been waiting for 50 days now
  20. This is embassy based and not true for all. My case was in transit within the same month as it arrived at NVC. Its more like 1.5-4 months to completion afterwards for Montreal. I don't know all the countries that are fast but it is a good bit, more are faster than not as far as im aware.
  21. Id love to say I have some great ways to cope but everyday is definitely hard. Keeping oneself busy does help but only to a certain extent.. It is extremely hard and crushing mentally
  22. If possible id probably call USCIS about this.. I wouldn't just wait, considering as far as I know (Please if this is wrong someone correct and guide OP to what they can do!) you need your NOA2 notice
  23. The schedule ive seen is wrong. It is every other Tuesday, but its the Tuesday thats about to occur One of the schedules ive seen said it was this past Tuesday (17th) but that turned out not to be true. (In many k1 groups. Nobody got in transit this week, but did last Tuesday.) So the 24th and so forth.
