Yes. Since your status of citizenship changed, a new card will be generated and sent.

I'm not sure why I didn't get the card. I wish I had because that can be sent to some agencies as original proof of citizenship which is preferable to sending my actual Passport or certificate. I'll get it eventually. 

I love the passport card. It's a wonderful back up ID and serves as proof of citizenship without having the carry around the passport. Totally worth the $30 in my opinion.

I have a passport card that I keep with me at all times. My passport book is in the safe deposit box. We have a vacation cabin close to the Canadian border, so I used to take spur of the moment trips to Montreal and it was useful to have the id card. Also, my driver's license is not "Real ID" compliant yet, so I use the card for domestic air travel.
 
Other than that, I don't see a lot of use in having it, but, hey.... it's what... $30 extra, so why not?
