  1. Just to update, it says a biometric reuse notice is in our online documents tab, but when try to open it all that we get is an error message. I guess just need to wait for it to come in the mail.
  2. Applied this evening for N-400 and the receipt noticed was uploaded right away. No bio metric letter uploaded, will update when that gets uploaded.
  3. We plan to file tonight. I-751 pending since August 2024. 90 day window opened yesterday and 3 year GC anniversary is November 2022. I'm just going to add what the checklist asked for and add a few extra documents. If they request more, then will upload/send them.
  4. Thanks. Wasn’t sure if he needed the exemption letter or not. That makes it easier then.
  5. Question: We are starting to gather our documents for next month to apply for the N-400. I took a look today at the required documents and it’s talking about a selective service letter. My husband came here when he was 26, so he did not register as it looks like he was exempt since he did not live in the US before his 26th birthday. Do we still need to request a letter saying he was exempt or can we just take the print out off the sss website saying he was not in the US before his 26th birthday ? He is 30 now, will be 31 in November. We will apply for N-400 in August. Thanks for any clarity!
  6. Thanks! Will do. Would you suggest doing it by paper or online for this specific application? Wasn’t sure the best option since this is different than previous applications and we do have a pending I-751.
  7. Thanks, I didn’t use it. It was screenshotted and posted here for me. Wasn’t aware the calculator existed until yesterday. Learning as we go.
  8. Yes thankfully it wasn’t. That’s great that can apply before the actual anniversary, I had no idea.
  9. Thanks, I appreciate the info. I thought you had to factor in the days absent from the U.S. into the time you apply but seems I was wrong about that.
  10. Oh, that’s great to know! Thank you. We will have been married for four years October 15th and he received his residency November 22nd 2022. So it’s safe to assume that August 22 is the one we can apply? Does he need to factor in the days that he was on vacation? I will go ahead and start researching the process on the N 400. Thank you!
  11. Hello, I’ve tried to use the naturalization calculator tool online but still had a couple questions. My husband came here on a K-1 in October 2021, and we were married the same month. He received his 2 year permanent residency card in November 2022 which expired November 2024, and currently has a pending I-751. He has traveled twice out of the U.S. once for 56 days and another for 40 days, once in 2023 and the other in 2024 to visit his family. I’m under the impression he can apply for citizenship in November 2024, is this correct? Or does he need to factor in the days he traveled outside the country to determine his date? Any advice is appreciated!
  12. My main concern was coming back into the U.S. that the REAL ID was also needed into addition to green card and passport. The wording on the official website is kind of all over the place. Glad to know that a foreign passport can be used in place of the REAL ID domestically as well for travel and entry into federal buildings.
  13. Thank you both for the reply! Makes things easier then. 🙂
  14. Just checking in to see if anyone from the August thread here got any updates since last posting?
  15. Question for anyone who might know: I see that the deadline to obtain a REAL ID will be in May. Trying to figure out if my husband needs one or not for international flights, specifically when returning to the U.S. He is a LPR, plastic green card expired in November and he has his extension letter extending his status here as a LPR while he waits for his I-751 to be processed. He has a foreign passport. He usually travels internationally once a year, will he need a REAL ID to fly back home to the U.S. or will he just need to show the extension letter and expired green card with the foreign passport to board a flight to return? He can get a REAL ID if needed, but did not want to have to go through the process unless it was necessary when returning to the U.S. We are under the impression that the REAL ID is for domestic flights only, but I wanted to verify and make sure he didn't get stuck somewhere. While on the topic, are you able to use an international passport for domestic flights are the May 7th deadline as well? Or would a REAL ID be needed?
  16. Just wanted to say good luck and hope everything goes smoothly with your case. Please keep us updated if you can.
  17. Credit card was charged this morning. Received a case number and notice saying a letter was sent.
  18. Ours was delivered Thursday to the PO Box. Now just to wait for CC to be charged.
  19. Sent our packet in today via USPS. How do we know which service center we will end up with?
  20. Yeah, we will see what they do. We can get mail at our house, just working during the day and the mailbox at the house is not monitored until after work. The PO is right across the street from my office and since it stays locked I like everything to be sent there. We will see what happens when time comes. I appreciate all the replies and help. If USCIS says anything about using a PO Box, I will be sure to update here. We don't file the I-751 until mid August.
  21. Thanks. We will try it this way then. I've seen online people say their documents still got sent to their physical address regardless, so we will see where they send mail going forward.
  22. It is a USPS box. I just don't want them to reject the application since box 15b says street number and name for mailing address.
  23. Thanks. Our PO office does have a street address but it's only for packages. That's why I wasn't sure since box 15b on the I-751 says street address that I didn't need to put it as 123 Busy Street PO Box 123 or just simply PO Box 123.
