hey guys, I have not applied yet for green card or work authorization, but I was wondering do they have to be filed at the same time or can i file them separately... I wanted to file for work authorization this month and green card next month just so I dont run thin on money.

You can’t apply first for work authorization, that means everyone can apply so easy for work. You have to apply for your green card first or in the same time (save some money- is free). You have more details on the website.

    Hi everyone!

So yesterday was my interview in the Hartford, CT office field. even though the interview turnt a little odd at the end, and my husband and I were feeling down because we didn't know what to expect, our case later on the afternoon changed to "New card being produced". Those are good news right?

The best news. Your card is gonna be in your hands in 1 week , depends on the postal

  3. The medical last 6 months. If your interview is after the medical expire, you have to make a new one (and pay again) . If you had your medical before they ask for covid vaccine, you have to do it again. After 1 oct they require to have the vax in the medical as well.
so, if the interview is before the medical expire, and you have the covid vax in the medical file as well, you are good 👍🏼

To those who have interviewed already. Howd it go?

Awesome. Had mine today. The lady was very nice. I had my 130 approved first and after i sent the rest on papers in may. Because my 130 was done already she just asked me my name, date and location of birth, and actual adress and then security questions and she said everything looks good and she gonna go and approve us . 🍾🎉 still in shock lol better then I expected

I just got my interview scheduled notification also, awaiting mail! Is there a guide for the prep or what we should bring to the interview?

The letter is gonna come in 3-7 days. You have about 3 weeks to prepare. They’re gonna say in the letter what to bring. Whats more important. Also bring all the paperwork with you just in case they lost some and need it, and extra evidence that you have since you submited the files. Congrats!!🍾

So I contacted the congressman for our zip code to request an expedite but no luck because we don't meet the criteria, but they were pretty helpful, tbh.
I think the Hartford Field Office is what is taking so long. My case starts with MSC which is the National Benefits Center, and it seems that my case is waiting there until they hear the response from my Local Office about the interview.
I am going insane because I had a colleague that, 6 months ago, sent all their paperwork and just got their interview date!! Even before they receive their EAD. And here we are 11 months after and still no update.

Can you give me more details about the congressman ? I wanna try it too

Hello everyone! Anyone else having any movement forward regarding to interview? I got my EAD card already (November) and my SSN arrived this week (though I already had a number assigned before).

how do you know your processing field?

I had mine in November too amd waiting for interview.
for the field, look over you case number, and the first 3 letters is the field

The updates in this thread would not be relevant to you as this is for K1 I-129F filers.  The appropriate sub-forum for your case would be -- https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/138-adjustment-of-status-case-filing-and-progress-reports/

    Possibly this thread -- https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/760836-march-filer-receipt-notice/

Yeah, I thought so, but wanted to make sure im not missing something. Also ppl don’t talk that much on the other groups. Thank you

Update: Got my green card in the mail today, I’m so happy and relieved 😌

    Thanks for your replies.

P.S. We did AOS from B1/B2 actually (but we also had an approved K1 awaiting interview back home when I traveled to the US for a vacation but lockdowns made things complicated in my country and decided to adjust status here). I emailed our congressman last October regarding having my EAD expedited because I’m a healthcare worker, and this may have contributed too to the waived interview? I could only guess.

Each is a range of 500 that include I129F and other case types so 57000 means 57000-57499. Just the I129F #s are reported. Same division is also on the chart.

Mine are 40926 🙊 maybe bcz im an I130 filler and not a k1

  10. Im am Aos B2filler but i stay on this group and april one to see any updates. Sent my I130 in march got approved and sent the rest in april, biometrics in july, got Ead in november and “ready to be scheduled for an interview” since july. Hanging in there……..we were about to send it in 2020 but the pandemic started and money were tight so we had to wait. Should i say my hometown is on the border w ukraine and my parents are there. My stress level is over 100%
