  1. Hi all,

I receives an email from NVC....BAD NEWS...... :ranting:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 03-JUL-14. We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship andImmigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documentsreceived. We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete thereview of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents. We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience.

:clock::clock::clock::clock::clock::clock::clock::clock::clock: When will it ends.... :ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting:

  2. your checklist is exactly same as mine... word to word.... my mom and dad are co sponsor since we live under same roof. I shouldn't have done that...my income is way over the minimum. Since I just graduated so I only worked a year, so I thought if I have both my mom and my dad, it might be better....ugh!

but congrats, at least we are now at the last stage!!! Idk if there is any chance for august interview...not sure how Guangzhou embassy is, hopefully there is no backlog there.:cry::crying::crying:

My husband's friend who is US citizen lived in china more than 6 months, she could apply directly at Guangzhou embassy... she applied for her husband in December 2013 and received visa in mid jan 2014... :sleepy::sleepy: I should've lived in china for 6 months and apply there.

anyways, I hope we all can get through with no more checklist.. I can't stand 30 days anymore... that's really bs... checklist = 30 days....then someone get checklist continuously, that's like forever!!! boo!!!!! :ranting::ranting::protest::protest:

    good luck! keep finger crossed.

I will update my timeline.. opps... didn't notice...:oops:

There is no chance for an august interview now since July is coming to a end! Maybe there a chance for September interview.

  3. Great... I just completed ds260 last night. got my iv fee on 6/30. I hope no more checklist, I really can't stand this 30 days thing... now im just waiting for the case complete.

im sorry to heard about the checklist you got. what was the checklist about?

NVC is just a drag.... :ranting::ranting: :ranting:

but good luck and keep finger crossed with you! :goofy::goofy: :goofy:

    Checklist for I-864A:

Part 1 Information on the Household Member[x] This section is incomplete. Please answer all questions completely. (If N/A, please indicated in theappropriate space).

Part 2 Sponsor's Promise[x] The number of immigrants sponsored is incorrect. (This number must be the same as that in Part 3 of theI-864).

Part 3 Household Member's Promise[x] The number of immigrants sponsored is incorrect. (This number must be the same as that in Part 3 of theI-864).

This checklist was for me. I'm the co-sponsor. So far I heard nothing back from NVC about my AOS. Keeping my finger crossed!

    Updated:

I just completed and sent the DS-260 last night. I should have completed and sent last week but I was in the hospital for 4 days (pain in right elbow :crying: ). Now it is gettting better.

Now waiting for schedule interview and praying for no more checklist! :dancing: Our NVC journey is coming to a end!

    Good Luck to you!

  4. another update... I got my IV invoice today!!! finally! you should have yours soon or you already received it...

NVC is the best place to test my tolerance and patience!!!!! hopefully IV, DS260, and AOS will get approved with no more checklist!!!! :protest::protest::ranting::ranting::ranting:

    Im out of patience already!!!

Good luck!!! we are almost done!!!

I have good news and bad news...The good new is I got the IV invoice for both my wife parent on July 1 :dancing: But the bad news I receive a checklist for the AOS. I have fixed it and sent it back to them on July 3. Now waiting for DS260. :clock::protest::protest: No more checklist!!!! :protest::protest:

We still climbing up the mountain!! :ranting: Can't wait to be at the top. After that it all down hill!!!;)

    Good luck!!!

  5. Hey I just want to give you an update...

I received a checklist today from NVC regarding my Form I864A, rest were accepted... it was just a stupid checklist cause I didn't put # of immigrants on page 3 of the form... how stupid was i? ugh!!

but hey thats still good that at least they got back to me pretty quick since they told me they started review my package on June 11. so that's two weeks from that date. but 35 days from the day i emailed the AOS package.

    Good luck as always!

    Hey Jen,

NVC asked something from you and you send it...another 30 days waiting!!!!! :clock: :clock: :clock:  No update from me!   Still waiting!! :clock: :clock: :clock::bonk:

    NVC process

    Good Luck to you!

  6. I received an email from NVC last Tuesday, the 17th, saying I have to re-submit my AOS because the some of the file I send was password protected. I think it was the Tax Return Transcripts from the IRS. :ranting: I re-scaned those and re-sent them on the same day, the 17th . So far hear nothing back from NVC. :protest: I'm not sure if my AOS is good to go. No email back from NVC mean it good. I hope!

  7. Hi Jenny,

When did you send your enrollment email to NVC? Can I do it right after I get my case number or do I need to pay AOS fee first before doing it? Also, what do you write when you send ENROLL email for EP ? I'm super confused about EP processing for Guangzhou since the case number will be changed and some people are saying that I can just send my AOS package when I send ENROLL email, is this true?

I got so confused after reading OPTIN email and new EP system, but seems like you have done yours recently and I would like to hear your experience if possible.

    thank you,

    jquan,

What I did to enroll in EP is: In the subject line I put case num# OPTIN GUZXXXXXXXXXXX . In the body I put in one sentence saying I want to enroll in EP. then I list the Beneficiary's name, Beneficiary's Date of Birth, Petitioner's name and Petitioner's Date of Birth. Waiting until you get the case number then sent the enroll email.

  8. Yes Im the petitioner. husband is in china.

sigh... I called on Friday June 13, they told me they just started reviewing on june 11!!!!!!!!!!! wth.......I sent my AOS on May 20....that's like almost a month they started reviewing.. that got me really upset because apparently EP is way slower than actual mail-in... :ranting::ranting::ranting:

I will keep you up-to-date if i get anything from NVC.. I think my IV fee should come this coming week.. hopefully...

keep finger crossed. Good Luck :luv:

Aleast there are reviewing (looking at) your the AOS! NOT sitting on the shelf/desk!!! The light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer!!!

    Good Luck to you!

  9. I got my EP response yesterday as 6/10. they changed my GUZ number to GZO. Thats after 25 days since I sent enrollment email. I sent my AOS right after I sent enrollment, so I did not wait either.

From what I heard is once the number changes, I do not have to resubmit the AOS document, whatever the documents they have will carryover to the new case number.

two numbers are linked to each other. but after that, any other document should be sent under new case number.

I sent AOS on 5/20, still nothing yet happened. no IV fee either.

Submitted 261 on 5/20....but shows incomplete on 5/30 so resubmitted (big mistake) NVC's record now is 6/2 for 261, and will take 30 days for them to review and generate IV fee...

If you have any questions, let me know. and i will let you know once I received anything

    Jen,

I got my EP response this past weekend, Saturday. FINALLY!!! They changed my GUZ numbers to GZO. My took less than 25 days, I sent enrollment email on 5-22-14. I sent AOS a week after you sent your, 5/27. Now waiting for the IV fee. :clock: :clock: Are you the petitioner?

  10. Hi Jen.

I don't have answer to your questions because my wife is in the same boat as you. She is bring her parents to the states (IR-5) . I'm helping her do the paperworks. We send our AOS package on May 27 til now nothing is happening.

Did you register/apply for EP? We send an email to NVC stating we want EP. We did not get a response from NVC. We did not wait for NVC approval and send the AOS package via EP. Hope this is not the issue, not waiting for an approval response from NVC!

  11. If the DS-260 must be in English, how wil my wife parent receive there IV package? They live in China. The GUZ consulate will translate english address into chinese?

Before DS-260 was online the paper version there was a space where you can answer name and address in native language. I am not sure if the online verision let me do that.

    Thanks,

    Ming

  12. Hi VJ members,

    Here is my issues:

My wife is bring both of her parent to the states. Both I-130 was approved. My wife have no income and I will be the only sponsor. She will complete the I-864. What form do I completed? I-864? I-864a?

    Situation:

    S1. wife's dad: I-864 (wife) and I-864 (me:For Q1 what do I check? 1.a, 1.b, 1.c, 1.d, 1.e)

    wife's mom: I-864 (wife) and I-864 (me:For Q1 what do I check? 1.a, 1.b, 1.c, 1.d, 1.e)

    S2. wife's dad: I-864 (wife) and I-864a (me)

    wife's mom: I-864 (wife) and I-864a (me)

    S3. wife's dad & mom: I-864 (wife) and I-864 (me:For Q1 what do I check? 1.a, 1.b, 1.c, 1.d, 1.e)

    S4. wife's dad & mom: I-864 (wife) and I-864a (me)

    Which Situation is correct? S1? S2? S3? S4?

    Will her parent interview together?

    Any ideas will be helpful!
