    I believe it was a simple mistake of the clerk (it was a third-party provider for the DMV), because the second time it went without a problem. But it also shows that the system in itself does not always catch such mistakes - the fact I used a PPC did not prevent the system from giving me a license with a "limited term" designation.

    Hi everyone, I used the PPC twice: as ID in the spring of 2022 at the U.S. Consulate in Zurich, Switzerland (no problem). Last month, I renewed my travel DL in AZ. The previous one had "limited term" on it, as it was issued when I was still with a GC. I used the PPC as proof of citizenship; at first they gave me the temporary paper DL with "limited term" still on it! I returned the paper to the clerk and told her I was a U.S. citizen. She asked to see the PPC again, and it went through smoothly without "limited term", both on the corrected paper DL and the new plastic DL that I received a week later.
