  1. This is extremely odd in my case. I requested an expedite August 11 of this year. A couple of weeks later, I received a rejection notice. Another thing that I find odd in my case is that most of the interview letters being sent out by the Embassy are those DQed a month before our DQ date. So in essence they kinda expedited our case by a month. LOL! In any case, we’d take this small victory! So we should just wait for the embassy to schedule a date or do we need to schedule one?
  2. Hello! We just got this message: What does this mean? I did file for an expedite request sometime ago but it was denied, so I'm curious, what this message is. Anyone who received something similar? Thank you!
  3. Interestingly, USEM processed FX visas, which is the same as an F2A. Do you think the F2A is for the regular DQ date and the FX were the ones who were expedited?
  4. Congratulations!!! Ecstatic for you and your family! Hopefully we get ours soon, too! *fingers crossed*
  5. Any update on your expedite request?
  6. In my experience, USEM takes about two weeks to respond if they will approve or deny the expedite request. Good luck on your request!
  7. Medical reason for my wife. Apparently, they deem it as "not urgent" and "not qualified for an expedite"
  8. Yes! I sent them an expedite request multiple times (most recently on the 2nd anniversary), but they rejected all of it. It's just extremely frustrating.
  9. Any update, guys? Today marks exactly 2 years since we have been DQed. This is just so frustrating.
  10. Wow! So cool! So happy for your brother! I think you are correct about the status part. I think it's ready to be scheduled! Thank you for answering my questions!
  11. Awesome! You gave me hope to request again. LOL! BTW, did they email the expedite request or they sent it via the Manila Embassy website?
  12. That sounds good, and congratulations! What embassy is this? Thank you for your response.
  13. Yeah. Been DQed since Aug 2020. I just haven't updated my timeline. 😁
  14. Thank you for your response. Follow up to number 3, if ever my naturalization moves quicker than the interview date, my wife can just show my naturalization certificate and it won't affect anything at all? Thank you again!
  15. Anyone received an interview letter recently? If yes, what was your visa type and when was your DW date? Thanks!
  16. I became a permanent resident Oct 23, 2017. Since moving here, the only times that I was out of the country was for brief vacations in the Philippines. My questions are as follows: I read somewhere that I can file early, but I'm not sure of the time frame. Is it 90 days or 180 days before my 5th year anniversary? Am I eligible to file early given the fact that I am not here the entire 5 years due to my brief vacations in the Philippines? I filed a petition to bring my wife over from the Philippines and it's now awaiting an interview at the local embassy in the Philippines. Will my naturalization application affect said petition (delay it since there will be a Change of Status on my end)? Thank you in advance to all who will take the time to answer my queries.
  17. Thing is, I have read that some just request for an expedite without giving any specific reason other than they have been waiting for so long, and they were approved. When I requested for an expedite, I gave a medical reason, and I was denied. On a side note, this immigration thing is really confusing and tiring.
  18. I know. I’m just trying to check if I can resubmit my previously denied request. We have been DQed since August 2020 and they’re only interviewing those with expedite requests at the Embassy in Manila.
  19. Did you submit another request? How soon did you submit after you previous one/s was/were denied? Did you change your reason or you kept it consistent with the previous ones? How many times have you submitted the request? Thanks to everyone who will answer.
  20. Yes. We got married 2017. I filed her papers 2018 and got DQ 2020. I’m just super tired of waiting.
  21. But let’s say assume that she hasnt been called for interview by then, will my citizenship affect her current petition? I mean, do I need to refile everything to a CR-1 petition instead of F1?
  22. Yup, we’re already DQ since Aug 2020. No kids. I don’t think it’ll do a lot to be honest, but the situation in Manila embassy now is that they’re only processing expedited family preference cases. I applied for an expedite sometime last year, but it was denied.
