It would be a waste of time to call if your case does not fall outside the processing times listed in the USCIS website. First, you will be put on hold for like 20 to 30mins before speaking to someone and then the representative will dicate exactly what you already know and is listed in their website when you check on your case. Forgot to mention, NOA2 takes about 6 months, if you are petitioning from the Philippines. By your timeline, you have about 1 to 2 months to wait..
Check my timeline, we filed about the same time give or take 2 weeks and we had our NOA2 in Nov, giving us over 5 months.

Hi everyone,
I can't check status online for my I-485. It is keep saying that Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. I am sure I put right number. My other forms(I-130 and I-765) are showing since Aug 18.
Also, I had my biometrics done 2 weeks ago, but there is no touch up on my I-765. Everyone here seems to get touch up next day after biometrics.
Is anyone else there have a similar situation? I am getting nervous.
Give it 4 to 6 weeks especially if you just filed for AOS. Patience is everything when filing for any application, especially for AOS. I would rather have USCIS work on my papers, then have them busy updating each and every file at USCIS. Imagine the workload for all the employees updating the case online if each one has to update it, touches and all...

If you could avoid changing addres until K1 visa is approved then do so, otherwise you can jeopardize it and have delays on your visa approval since you would be contacting UCSIS for change of address (for petitioner only, not beneficiary). Depending on how far you are to your K1 also depends if there will be a delay. If your case is still waiting to be approved for petition (waiting for NOA2) then you definately should wait until you get that approved. Note, no documents will be sent to Beneficiary, only Petioner. So if you the beneficiary moves, you dont have to worry about any documents being sent, USCIS does not send documents over seas. They only send documents to the petitioner if you are waiting for NOA2.
If your case is already in US Embassy in Manila, then you will be waiting for packet 4 which is your interview schedule and medical exam dates. You dont need this actual document as long as you can print from the internet once your case is approved in NVC and that you have a MNL case in the US Embassy in Manila website. In the website, you can print the date of your interview and medical exam date. That is all you need to show to St. Lukes for your medical and of course your passport.

Use Xoom.com, Its great and can transfer money to your bank to her bank account (overnight) or pick it up in less than 2hrs. The fees are a fraction of the cost from western union.

If the person does not work, how will he/she send money? If that is the case, give as much as he/she can. Again, I would start at Php10000 which is $225 and start working backwards, meaning lesser if I cant afford that. $225 may seem a lot but believe me, its not, even in the province. I could never live off $225 in the province especially to support 5 people. That is basically only P22 per person per meal or roughly $0.44 a meal.

If you want to get it right, read this http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide, which is the K1 guidelines, on every page of VJ forum under Guides link, between Portals and wiki. Its the guidelines to K1 visa. All your questions are detailed there, including evidences of relationship. I printed this, and kept it next to my computer, read it like 20 times and memorized the damn thing, both me and my fiance at the time, to know the entire process so when people like you asked, I could say, I've been there and I've done that...
-
I would allot $225 for the 5 people, dont be a cheapskate (kirpot) and dont add just the minimum to get by for the people you want to support/give. $225 at a rate of Php45 per $1 would give them (Php10125)which is plenty and then some to live off. You are a USC living 45 times the rate in the province of the Philippines, so dont be a cheapsake, share your wealth to your love ones back home.

The petitioner has to file for I-864 and if he/she does not meet the 125% poverty line, then get a co-sponsor who does and he/she fills out the I-864. Its that simple.

If your petitioner was born in the US, then he would have a birth certificate number, if not put N/A for (not applicable). For place of birth, and date of issue of birth certificate then fill those info in..
If your petitioner was naturalized by parents then most likely he will have Certificate of Citizenship. Meaning, he was born outside the US, and his parents became US Citizens and as a dependent he would have gotten a USC document too. If he was born in the US and filed for N600 then he too would have a Certificate of Citizenship. US passport although proves US Citizenship is NOT the "Certificate of Citizenship". If he does not have this "Certificate of Citizenship" then put N/A. Most USC do not have their "Certificate of Citzenship" as it is a waste of time and money to file for one (USCIS charges like $460), especially if he/she was born in the US and has birth a US birth certificate.

Well, let see, did or did your husband not file for taxes for the last 3 years... He if filed taxes for the last 3 years, then yes, check the box, otherwise do not check the box. Dont know how much simpler the question can be stated. If he filed 2008, 2007 and 2006 taxes (presuming those are the last tax years) then check the box..
Yes, 1040 and W2s make up the tax forms..W2s are what the employer sends out to the employee yearly and is used to declare the income for that particular job and 1040 is the income form used to file your taxes.
1099 forms are interest or dividends that must be added to the income if says the bank where he gets money deposited earned interest.

Hi All,
Just a note to everyone about my experience regarding the Document Verification Process.
My fiance had her interview at the Embassy on Aug 27. At that time she was given Pink Slip and told 7-10 days before she receive K1 Visa. Yipee!!! So I am thinking okay she will be here in USA end of next week.
Wait a second... nope... that won't be the case.
After reading the Forum here and reading posts concerning the consistent problems with Delbros, NOS, USEM and the Document Verification process I thought I better call the Embassy in Manila and get the status of the Visa.
Sure enough I was told Document Verification had not been completed and it could be 3-6 weeks before Visa would be issued depending on whether or not they needed any further Documentation.
Sighhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Unbelievable.
Can't do anything but wait again...
Sort of just venting here but thought I would let all know that passing the interview isn't the end of the road.
Good Luck to all who are currently going through the process :-)
Yes thats basically the case, you just have to wait. As long as you got a pink slip, your visa will come. We had to reschedule our plane ticket when Hubby first scheduled my plane trip to US 2 weeks after my interview.. I ended up getting my visa 3 weeks and 4 days later, and my flight was 4 weeks after my interview. Good thing we had Eva-Air where no fee for rebooking as long as we left before May 2008. Visa verification can take 3 to 6 weeks, and that's what US Embassy in Manila always says, regardless of the case, its an assurance for them that you will get your visa by the 6th week... I know people wait longer if they are in AR. Just be glad that you passed your interview. Good luck.

No need to submit supplement, we are a May filer for AOS and we didnt submit a supplement either..no RFE for that, got EAD and AP already and case for AOS has been touch once, a month and a half after filing for AOS. We dont expect to get a RFE for the missing supplement as if we had, they would not have processed EAD and AP and have them approved.

I phoned the NVC automated system today & got the message that we all want to hear...."your case is complete"!!! It's been a long road to this point but I have to believe from here on things will continue to move! Our case should be on it's way to London soon. . I wish the same for all of those that have been waiting so long!
Congrats to you!!!

Hi guys this is really weird i made an appt for infopass for this friday sep 5th due to the 90 days waiting for EAD/ B?C cust SERV said to me that they were processing april 1rst/ well i got a confirmation by CRIS saying that they aproved my EAD/ so i went ahead and cancel my appt/ i got my AP document friday sept 5th by mail / and my surprise was this sat sept 6th i had my EAD IN THE MAIL!!!!!!!!!/ for those who are in the same boat as i do i guess just be patient and for me next estep would be getting my SS and hopefully get my NOA2 for the i30
Good for you.. this is what I tell eveyone, just wait and relax... some people get really anxious when then dont see status in UCSIS website (2 weeks waiting and no case online for NOA) or that its been 3 months since filing and that no EAD or AP status is update.. Thank you for setting an example that if you wait, your case will be processed and before you know it EAD and AP will be in the mail...
